Wait wait wait wait wait.

A guy who follows Jesus, the prince of peace, urges there to be....peace?

No wonder our evangelicals hate him so much.

Just so ya know, the Midwest has smart aleck in the water. It's like fluoride, but for character. Strengthens things.

Bravo Pope Bob for raining down holy fire on Trump and his horde of infidels.

Isaiah 1:15: “Even though you make many prayers, I will not listen — your hands are full of blood.”

Yes well, God should talk.

Da Pope got a shout out in my (Episcopal) church's Easter sermon.

I will note that our preacher didn't pull any political punches but did make sure to have the first reference to be to "the Bishop of Rome".

I did learn that some of the folks in my parish affectionately refer to Leo as "Cousin Bob" which amuses me (and, tbqh, might make the man himself smile).

That implicit Avignon threat is truly outrageous. Just when one thinks the administration fools have plumbed the depths of vainglory them something like this comes out.

i don't know about all that, but i do know no one should take the recorded Palais des Papes tour. it is 23 hours long and i promise everyone in your group will get pissed, wander off and find some rose somewhere.

You're totally right, but part of me was impressed that someone in the administration had actually read a history book (besides Stephen Miller, it goes without saying, who's an expert on the ins and outs of Third Reich history).

Opus Dei fucks. They have not read the history book so much as been brainwashed by certain parts of it.

Ta, Dok. Good on Pope Bob from Chicago.

Pope’s out here doing “thoughts, prayers, and maybe don’t commit genocide,” and somehow that’s the radical position now.

Thank you for mentioning “The War Prayer.” It’s always perfect but more so right now.

The projection is classic.

Twain withheld "The War Prayer" from publication during his lifetime, saying: "Only dead men can tell the truth in this world."

Yay Dok! I can't help thinking about why Peter Thiel doesn't tell JD Vance to 25th amendment Preznut Nobrain. Prolly cuz he knows the Couchinator is a wuss & couldn't lead a 2-car funeral. But still: this is as close as Thiefl will ever get to picking the next US preznut. Reckon he's a wuss too.

How are John Roberts, Sam Alito, Amy Coney Barrett, Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, and Sonia Sotomayor taking this, one wonders.

Not well one would hope.

I'm not a believer by any stretch, but I still admire and appreciate Pope Bob for the righteous, honorable, courageous, compassionate man he is. He's a blessing to the world.

Twice as many Roman Catholics as Protestants, every Western army is the Popes army.
