Republicans have shown themselves to be beneath contempt. Nice to see a few Dems pointing that out to their faces. These spinless fucks deserve the back of all of our hands.
Hunter gatherer societies have long had a practice to protect egalitarian communities from people who would seek power, and diminish equal treatment. The practice is ridicule, whereby a person being all up on themselves is humiliated for seeking to be better than others. The ridicule discourages egotistical behavior for the sake of the community. I’m all for humiliation for the good of the community.
I remember reading about a people in an African country who did this to their hunters; they call it “shaming the meat” lest the hunters get too fat headed.
My pettiest is him wearing casual shoes with his suit during this debate. You’re worth millions Mikey! At least look like it. I bet Marco Rubio will even let you borrow his dress shoes.
The Ossoff approach mirrors the fascist approach by hammering the negatives about your opponent, but actually uses real facts about how horrible they are. It also flips the script of trying to pin radical fringe figures to a candidate, a la el Sayed vis a vis Hasan Piker, only Collins is taking calls from Nazis inside the house.
yep...using the same 'guilt by association' but the association is very real....Ossoff understands the ONLY content people RELIABLY respond to is EMOTIONAL content...
Moral of the story: Emotional rhetoric and facts aren't mutually exclusive...Truth can and SHOULD be delivered via fire and brimstone
"That’s the closing argument for every Democrat, just replace Mike Collins’s name with the name of whichever Republican in whichever race. They are all equally trash, equally vile, equally white supremacist Nazi bigots, equally worthy of being shunned until they take their last breaths."
This includes Tim Scott.
Like, what do you call the Jew who served as second-in-command in the Luftwaffe? Nazi.
So Tim Scott is a white supremacist, even though he's black.
There's a square in Riyadh where the Saudi government used to hold public beheadings of criminals, men and women alike. In recent years, largely for PR reasons, these executions have been made private, but no less brutal. Hegseth has announced plans to live stream the death by firing squad of Nidal Malik Hasan, the Ft. Hood shooter who killed 13 people and ICE performs executions in public places without any sort of due process on the regular. We are now filling the bloodlust vacuum that the Saudis have left behind.
Once upon a time, there was a rationale of sorts for public executions. In the *old* days (think medieval), law and order was incredibly difficult to maintain. There were no cameras, no fingerprinting, no forensics of any sort to speak of. Hell, there weren't even streetlights. It was *incredibly* difficult to find criminals and prove guilt. The only resource legal authorities had was to come down as hard as they could on deterrence, and try to draw as bright a line as they could between 'upstanding citizen' and 'lawless rogue'.
Now, thankfully, we have more options. Someone should tell Hegseth.
There's something to be said for "transportation" too. Prisoners could be sent to Georgia and later Australia (for the Brits) or Louisiana (for the French) and at least given a chance to make a new life for themselves.
Every democratic candidate needs to watch and re-watch these debates. Right now the WI Democratic candidate for governor is falling into the exact same trap that the democratic candidate for senator (who lossed to RoJo!) fell for. He's trying to go high while getting hammered with racism and lies. Do not go high. Hit below the belt, with the truth. With your opponents own words and incredibly shitty record.
Ossoffian levels of contempt can be rallied for all R opponents. All you have to do is remember the regime they support - point out what is sure to be a voting record north of 90% in favor of Trump policies - and then slam them with every accusation of treachery, pedophilia, nepotism, xenophobia, corruption, racism and hatred of the Earth that applies to the Trump administration writ large.
They are the people who happily worked at the concentration camps, beat civil rights demonstrators, engaged in or happily watched lynchings, followed Stalin’s orders, worked for Pinochet, etc etc. monsters, every one.
I love (/s) how Mike Rogers responded to El-Sayid's comment about being a doctor and a dad by saying, under his breath, "you're not a real doctor."
SIR.
>>El-Sayed graduated from the University of Michigan and was a Rhodes Scholar at the University of Oxford, where he earned a DOCTORate in public health. He then earned his MEDICAL DEGREE from Columbia University.<<
Respect the degrees and sit the entire fuck down, Mike.
That thing about saying out loud what they *really* want to say? Rogers really wanted to say, “You’re not a real doctor because you’re not white.” But, you know, at their cores, they’re chickenshits, so.
just read WaPo and they didn't really put an angle on it. Just read The Hill, and they reported that Ossoff has a 88% chance of winning this thing.... :)
When your opponent runs on racism, bigotry, xenophobia, brutality, corruption and cowardice, it is fitting and proper to show only loathing and disdain. We don't have to put up with that shit.

Any Republican elected on November 3rd, anywhere in the country, will show their voters’ absolute depravity. They are … um … deplorable.

There are heaps of real reasons to loathe Rogers.

"[...] because he somehow watched them both at the same time."
Probably he has staff actually watching and sending him highlights, then he decides whether to post them.

Literally inside his own house!!!
Vile is a complete descriptor.

Republicans, as well as their fluffers in the MSM, have earned the withering contempt of decent people.

Safe to assume on the 90 percent, because anyone whose voting record wasn't at least 99.9 percent for Trump got primaried.
They are the people who happily worked at the concentration camps, beat civil rights demonstrators, engaged in or happily watched lynchings, followed Stalin’s orders, worked for Pinochet, etc etc. monsters, every one.
Yes.

Poetic justice would be Rogers having a heart attack during the debate and Al-Sayed saying, "I'd like to help, my guy, but I'm not a real doctor."
But he wouldn't do that. He'd save his ass and then beat him down again (figuratively) when he got out of the hospital.
Must take good care of these two brave men - thank you AR who may be bravest :) ...
Can't wait to see all the pearl clutching from the press about how mean Ossoff was.🙄
just read WaPo and they didn't really put an angle on it. Just read The Hill, and they reported that Ossoff has a 88% chance of winning this thing.... :)
I can, they all suck and are pushing fascism.
Fuck 'em.
