Throw the guy out of office. He's a pig. Men sexually harass to feel powerful. Any woman with a pulse can recall instances of sexual harassment so I can only conclude many men feel their egos need a daily boost since this crap has occurred from my Grandmother's time to now. When I started my first job my mother ran down a list of crap men will pull at work. Sure enough she was right as always.

It's more than the GOP ever does. And it's really all anyone outside of New York has the power to do.

I am so grateful to the women who came forward. When we started working in the '70s, sexual harassment was part of the job. If you couldn't take it with a smile on your face, you got out. We did not report, we did not complain, and we condemned two more generations of women to sexual harassment at work. We were cowards. I cannot express the courage of these women. They are heroes.

The Catholic church has been prevaricating myths and fables for 200 years.

I liked Mario Cuomo. He made one of the best damn political speeches ever at the 1984 Democratic Convention, and I went, yeah!, this is a guy who can viscerally make people understand and feel the good of liberalism! Go!

And then he dithered and teased and equivocated and Hamleted until it was too late, and the Democrats nominated Michael Dukakis in ‘88, and we all remember the grand era that shit ushered in (e.g., 1,000 points of light, stay the course, na ga na).

After that, why anybody spent any time thinking about Cuomos is a mystery to me, but here they are. Again. And again. And….

Maybe there’s some awesome grand-niece toiling in a ward out there who’s got her shit together and inherited Mario’s gift for oratory, but until then I feel like the Cuomos have exhausted their shelf-life.

With apologies to Journey

Governor Cuomo, Your career's gonna die, Because, you went and tried,Gropin' touchin', squeezin' all those others.....

There is a process, which is not instantaneous (state level politics rarely are) but the process has been started. Rethuglicans rarely if ever start any process. See Scott Dejarlais.

Oh, before that, Shirley.

And what else would you like? Bringing a gallows up to his front door?

Gosh, if only there were steps between ineffectual complaints and threats of murder. Oh well. Apparently there's not. Nothing to be done but let Cuomo stay in office unimpeded, I guess.

@anathema_device@bne.social's avatar

I notice you don't suggest what those intermediate steps might actually be.

Well said.

Cuomo had handmaidens to back him up. Often woman are pitted against their fellow women colleagues, and the men stay silent. This has to stop. His enablers need a moment in the spotlight, too.
