But...but...tRump is a super smart rich guy and will run America like one of his unbelievably successful businesses! Honestly, is there one person in this country who still falls for that?
I have this vague feeling that things are gonna be really fucked up. Maybe it's just a bit of indigestion, I certainly hope so.
But, I gotta say, that this is even close confirms for me all the shitty opinions I've had over the years about so many of my fellow countrymen. Mostly, they're just not paying attention. That's my shitty opinion of them, they're not paying attention FOR GOD'S SAKE!!! And you know, I don't think well of people who don't pay attention, so that's on me.
Pray the Goddess makes some motherfuckers pay attention by early November.
I am listening to Sunday morning edition — the Sunday morning news is my fave because I love the hostess — bur nancy mace is on and she is a maximum asshole and she will probably be the veep nominee.
I actually wrote to NPR to complain about having her on. She had NOTHING of note to add to the conversation about Trumps current trial. She was rude and condescending and came across as racist. We all know that she has a directive with her staff to make sure she goes on at least four news outlets every single week so you know she begged to be on NPR only to be rude dismissive and so far up Trump’s ass it was insulting, even to have to spend five minutes, listening to her.
I hope she doesn’t win her reelection next time around.
"The only time I ever paid any real attention to the value of the dollar was when I taught at Osaka University and was paid in yen. I’d try to wait for dips in the dollar’s value before converting my money to dollars and depositing it back in my credit union back in the US."
I was in Indonesia in, I think it was 1999, when their economy was tanking.
We'd cash in U.S. dollar-denominated traveler's checks (remember those? LOL) for only as much Rupiah as we'd need for the day, because each day we'd get like twice as much as the day before. I remember the guy at the exchange place saying "Good for you. Not so good for me!"
Yeah, I was hunting for one today myself and couldn't find one anywhere. You'd think Rebecca would at least keep one on the home page somewhere as a permanent link.
paul is home from work. It's time for me to turn this device off and go kick back in the recliner in the living room so that I can visit with him while he fools around on a device of his own.
I'll be back around 5:30 am tomorrow morning generally making a menace of myself.
Colin Jost said something about how he reported the fake news, like some in the audience. He said something about all the incredible journalists, and even some credible journalists.
Gee, Fox News, who do you think he's talking about?
BURN! Jost just said "Murdoch stepped down from Fox News. I didn't realize it was possible to take a step down from Fox."
Remember Rahm Emanuel? He was Obama's first WH chief of staff, and one of the biggest disappointments of the 2010s. He was supposed to be a tough-guy fixer who got things done, but all he did was pointlessly antagonize people, until he was forced out. Then he served two terms as mayor of Chicago, antagonizing even more people, especially with massive school closings. He only won a second term because he managed to sit on the video of Laquan McDonald getting massacred by the cops until after the election.
IOW, he was kind of a Chicago version of the Cuomo brothers.
Now we find out that David Pecker caught and killed a dip-your-wick-where-it-doesn't-belong story for Emanuel.

Our Wonkette literally beats the tar out of Meet the Corporate Press any Sunday of the year!

I thought the reporter did a good job. Nancy mace did not come off well.
She was horrible. Ayesha Roscoe did the best she could with the crap she got.

I felt bad.
You were a currency trader!
Wait a minute, Soros is *also* a currency trader...
Well, I've never seen the two of them in the same room, you might be on to something...
Why isn't there a Amazon access link in every article? Arrfgghhh...
Fuckit

Is it true that when PAB farts he says "achoo"?
Yes. That's what happens when nothing but bullshit comes from your mouth.
God, Jost just made a solid joke about Lara Trump and her terrible cover of "Won't Back Down," and the Vichy press didn't laugh.
Will never listen. Did she get licensing permission to use the song? Of course not that would mean having to pay for something.
They’re probably worried about what might happen to their families if they laughed and the Nodfarter manages to steal the election.
Good point, but a lot of them are also probably just corporate Republicans, who don't want to lose access to Trump.
It's going to be fun watching them leave that sinking ship when he loses the fraud trial. Once he becomes irrelevant, he'll be, well, irrelevant.
Joe was a bit too nice to them in his closing, but I understand why.
wow.
