Wait...is Fantasy Island about people having their fantasy come true and then having it turn bad?

It was on when I was growing up (in the 70s) but I've literally NEVER watched an episode. Hippie parents were anti-TV.

Out, out damn spot!

No. I’m betting they are trying to figure out how they can get more “good guns” out there to combat the plethora of bad guns.

Real gun control including the red flag laws that would have prevented this shooting and other recent ones IIRC. But also doing some thing about violent men. Hey you know what, since their violent acts are crimes we could like put them in jail…

Not only are these guys not mentally ill they are psychopaths. Possibly narcissists. Society needs to come to grips with the fact these people exist and that we have to do something about it. Just letting them do mass killings with guns obviously is not right, but letting them kill one or two people in the privacy of their or someone else’s home isn’t OK either. We need to stop acting like a deer caught in headlights about hyper violent men with no empathy or conscience.

Also, he went to a party to kill her whole family. Who even wants something like that?

can we add a power notation to the thoughts and prayers? it’s tiresome having to type it for every shooting in America. Who has time?

With a loaded rifle. (Sorry, but I'm just over Rafaelito.) I suppose this will get me banned now.

We've had massacres like this, with families being wiped out here in Mexico, usually because someone in the family in involved in the same criminal enterprise as the killer (who generally gets away). HOWEVER, it's understood that gun crimes are related to organized crime... or more specif8cally... to the US drug trade. If nothing else, you need to iimit access to weapons to your basic criminal class.

Unfortunate that they're too manly to go to therapy. They'd rather leave it till they snap because that just shows how bad her behavior was.

Since Ted Cruz thinks "Every time there is a shooting, we play this ridiculous theatre where this committee gets together and proposes a bunch of laws that would do nothing to stop these murders," I'd sure like to hear what his proposal is for improving the situation.

"Violent, impulsive, and angry" sound like mental health issues to me.

Republicans should just all move to Afghanistan. There you can carry whatever gun you want as long as some other asshole with a gun "good guy with a gun" doesn't try to stop you. Afghanistan is such a peaceful place with all of those men with guns... /s

One problem with this is that depending on which 'experts' you quote you will get some that will say..."Psychopathy is defined as a mental (antisocial) disorder in which an individual manifests amoral and antisocial behavior..." (actual quote)

...and that is ALL you need for Republicans and gunhumpers to make the FALSE claim of mental illness even though the vast majority of experts say that these psychopaths are NOT MENTALLY ILL.

But in today's anti-science and anti-truth climate mixed with the likelyhood of more insurrectionists and COVID-deniers running rempant, these killings are likely only going to get worse.

Sorry to be the bringer of bad tidings.

Or repealed, which of course would never happen.

And remember, she is from Rifle, CO. What kind of disgusting people name a town after a gun?

And yet here are two recent stories...

"6-year-old brings gun to Houston school; 3 hurt"

"A 6-year-old child in first grade at Kids Care* Elementary in Columbus, Ohio brought a loaded, semiautomatic gun to school in his backpack..." (they discovered the gun before he could do anything)So at least they are willing to try...

*I had a choice of two different stories about this. I figured the one that mentioned "Kids Care" was better...
