Sanders went out and stumped for Hillary. But yeah, fuck Stein for sure. And Nader is a great consumer advocate, but Jesus, he should have stayed out of that race.
What we need is a ringer to run something like the "Reform Party" to be sure that Trump does not win in 2020, though...
Meh, sometimes Pelosi can be deeply frustrating, and for me it's nothing to do with her gender. It's because she doesn't seem to be on the side of progressives. Maybe she's playing some very, very long game I cannot see, but she often seems to give a pass to the worst of the cons.
Is Harris a reliable progressive, though? I saw someone saying she'd make a great AG and that seems like a good fit. I do like what I hear her saying, but her background on some things seem rather shaky from a progressive standpoint. I don't want another centrist Democrat when we have options.
I'm a progressive, but you can be sure I'll vote even for Biden in the general if it comes to that. What progressives have to keep in mind is how the cons operate. They don't sit it out when a fake xtian like Spanky came along and told them a bunch of obvious bullshit about how he LUBS HIMS SOME BABBLE. They lined up and put that shithead in office, so he could stuff the courts and make possible xtian Shariah Law, put uppity wominz in their place and maybe roll back gay rights.
We could use a bit more of that in the Democratic Party, but put towards the forces of goodness.
If only America would start ranked order voting....sigh.
This is why I'm not too keen on "identity politics" (sigh, I hate using that phrase in the way the Reich wing uses it - they are typically the ones that do the most of it - the snowflakes tend to melt when white male cis-genders are not at the center of the universe at all times). Plenty of non-white, non-male, non-xtian, non-straights could have some very regressive positions. Look at Clarence Thomas. Or Milo Y. Or Ayn Rand.
For me their policy positions far outstrip anything else.
Agreed. That's how I feel about him and it's because of his policy positions, and not so much because he's an old white man or because he's kind of creepy in person with some women/girls.
The Young Turks has been digging up some rather interesting bits about Buttigieg and matters of race under his watch. I'd like to see Warren or Bernie and then have them pick a great person as VP.
Yeah, I could really care less about the "no more old white men" thing, as I almost feel like that's a joke the alt-right writes about how the left operates (not all of us do). I don't give two flying figs that he's an old white man, but I do care that he's a centrist BothSiderist jackass who has apparently learned nothing from seeing how the teabaggers operated under Obama - kicking sand in Obama (and Biden's) face his entire presidency and having the Democratic Party beg for more.
He can take that shit and pound it sideways. You cannot "reach out" to the Republicans. We need to (metaphorically) burn that party to the ground and make them spend decades in the wilderness. We need to beat them so badly at the polls that their great-great-great grandchildren can still feel the burn.
Who cares if you are a Rockefeller Republican. That doesn't have any bearing on your statement. Also, I shouldn't have to read your account history because you don't know how to effectively communicate.
One more thing, blocking me because you are offended over something I said is just a sign of cowardice. Why not have the balls to defend your statement?

Yes that would be a HUGE help.

You want a candidate who can win. Everything else comes second.
Your words. If you don't see a problem with that, then I can't help you.
Has nothing to do with Biden.
Damned straight I do. I also want Joe Biden to win, ideally with Pete Buttieg as his running mate.
And no, there is no problem with that. So go bother someone else.
You didn't say you wanted Joe Biden to win.
That is the problem.
You are just like so many Republicans--party over country. You just want to be on the winning side.
Yes I did. Read my account history, schmuck.
And here’s the thing: I’m not a Democrat. I’m a Rockefeller Republican.
And YOU are blocked.

on a completely other note, did you see that a personal injury attorney was attacked by a shark in North Carolina?
whatever happened to professional courtesy???
WON’T SOMEONE THINK OF THE SHARK-ON-SHARK VIOLENCE????
