In the Michigan governor's primary three Republican candidates got caught submitting fake ballots and were disqualified. They sued to get put back on the ballot of course, and the Michigan Supreme Court ruled 6-1 against. That means that one Michigan Supreme Court Justice felt that submitting fake ballots should not disqualify a candidate even though the law says otherwise.
It's astounding how this vocal and powerful minority or Republicans immediately up-jumped right into Fascism, once they got a favorable Supreme Court case. It is time for us to oppose this. Be vocal and the majority and force them back into their sad little conclaves. We used to have to cross the 7 seas to combat this ideological garbage. It's here now and openly destroying a free America.
Nothing in the Constitution says anything about political parties, never mind limiting it to two. The GOP did NOT even exist in 1786. Replace or start a new party as the GOP has been co-opted by the insurrectionistas.
The GQP/TFG supporters whether still holding office or attending rallies or sending in their life savings appear more and more like the victims of domestic abuse / cult. Doesn’t excuse their culpability but it does explain their inability to make sensible healthy choices and self-destructive behavior. Until or unless something really bad happens directly to them that finally crosses a line they will stay in their deadly dysfunctional relationship until it becomes terminal— for them — and for anyone close enough to be collateral damage.
