Gays frequently don&#039;t have kids, so they pay taxes towards schools and related programs without children to use the resources they paid for. When they have children, they have had to work hard to get them so they have relatively few and take good care of them. Those factors alone would seem to make them a group that you&#039;d want to attract. Meanwhile, in my area of rural Virginia, several of my daughter&#039;s friends are being raised by grandparents or in one case great-grandparents or other people because the parents can&#039;t or won&#039;t take care of them. Often there are several siblings in the same situation. But god forbid a gay person move in.
