There's an example in one of the Little House books. That was actually kind of fun, because the way Laura Ingalls was taught to diagram a sentence was different from the way I was taught.

If I had never been taught how to diagram a sentence, I would never have known that. So I suppose you could say that learning to diagram a sentence was useful to me, for certain values of "useful".
