There seems to be a mindset amongst some of these protesters that not only is it a constitutional right to wake up on the wrong side of the bed in the morning and use a gun to kill people; now, that right extends to infecting those around you with a potentially lethal disease in the name of freedom. It’s about freedom to kill indiscriminately.
And just like gun slaughter, infecting multiple others and simultaneously contributing to exponential spread, can be an act of mass killing.
The Detroit News reports about 300 protesters showed up this time, considerably fewer than the April 30 rightwing rally for the right to spread infectious disease without constraint, as the Founders wanted.
So, two weeks after the last protest, and the numbers are down? Maybe some of those from the last protest really wanted to be there today but were under the weather.
I think, perhaps, this is just the beginning. I expect Trump to call out these psycho-minions on election day to provide intimidation, and afterward in his bid not to leave office (should he lose). I see things getting real ugly and violent, and I see states needing to call up the National Guard.
