In all the time I was gone, the only times I was a bit apprehensive was when I had to stay overnight in both directions in the Port Authority Bus Terminal in NYC (like from 1AM to 6AM) and that was because of the regular assortment of loonies and drug dealers (do they really think the rest of us DON'T know what they are doing?) that have been a regular feature of the Port Authority since time immemorial, and that the Port Authority cops ignore like they always have.I was easily more worried about catching something yucky from them instead of COVID.
Well, I think we may HAVE to support endles COVID restrictons for now because these kind of idiots are making it so many are not getting vaccinted and/or wearing masks.

When my kids were toddlers, they had a spectacular wipe-outs running on flat ground, and there was a beat as they decided if they were hurt. Sometimes they weren't hurt, just tired, so they would turn and howl angrily at me, unable to speak in their outrage and tears. When I pointed out that all her "research" will encompass will be doing more reading of other people's research. That made her mad. If the Earth was flat, liberals would have demanded that guardrails and netting be erected along the edges of all the oceans to prevent watercraft from going over the edge, and conservatives would denounce it as a liberal boondoggle, because to complete the project would require the wealthy to pay more in taxes.
In the end, public pressure would force the barrier to be built, and the no-bid contract would have been awarded to a wealthy Republican donor.
