I loved that movie. I loved some kind of wallpaper she had in her dormitory. I loved her, and I loved the prince reciting Hamlet. Most of all I loved her farm brothers racing tractors. THERE!
Is that the last time the prince actor ever appeared? I guess I should see now why you're talking about that movie. No deaths or scandals I hope.
I used to be neighbors with this prince, the actor Luke Mably. I bought some stuff from him before he moved away from LA, gosh like 18 years ago. I still have his dented, buzzing, $15 ikea lamp. I moved it out of a bedroom for safety but I can’t quite toss it.
My kids are growing up in normal not-LA and they’re always soooo gloaty braggy to their friends about the funny random trivial celebrity connections from their early years in La La Land.
(I don’t know where they get that from. Want to see this junky light I bought off a guy who was in a princess movie 20 years ago?)
I wish this was a Hallmark movie - I would absolutely love Julia Stiles instead of the bland actors they have playing the Prince's maid-who becomes a governess - who then moves up to bride-to-be. Of course, it could just be the Hallmark scripts are always blander than the real actions of real people.
"much of the country is experiencing trash weather"
I am aware this is happening elsewhere. But here, where trash weather should be de rigeur this time of year, we're still having a Carolina winter. Even the tiny snow piles at the back of the parking lot have melted away; my phone tells me its 42-freaking-F out there. In January. Now supposedly we're to get something that used to be called seasonal in the next day or two, but after a week-ish of actual winter we'll likely be right back here watching the crocuses poke their heads above dirt and wondering why we signed up for that expensive snow plowing contract.
Actually, that's a total lie. I come from a long line of Norwegian FARMERS. But my little photo there is actually a previous King of Norway, Haakon VII.
I'm a huge fan of Scandinavian royalty. The King of Norway and his family are awesome, as are the royals from both Sweden and Denmark.
I may be the only one in America who's actually really excited about the events in Denmark this weekend! LONG LIVE THE KING!!!
I believe it was the Danish Queen who just defenestrated all the non-direct line royals on her way out the door, so now they're all just "dukes" and "duchesses" instead of "your royal highness" and that is a sentence that I wrote in this year of our Dylan Mulvaney 2024. The Swedes did it too (the second son types were not happy about it). Whatup, England? (which has something like 110 "royals" living off the public dole)

Brings new meaning to “stacking the books”.
OTOH, removing sex from libraries is the goal of Moms for Liberty…
*diassociates in dreamy memories of a distant past hot Dane boyfriend (not a royal)*

He was so good in the part. I never saw him again. He wasn't any of the 2 or 3 movies I've seen in the 20 yrs?? since then.
She’s a great actress!

I've had a crush on Julia Stiles for a long time. She's even a baseball fan.
Except it's for the New York Mets, and I'm a New York Yankees and San Francisco Giants fan.

I’m about the same age as Julia Stiles and have had a crush on her for roughly the entire time I’ve known who she was. Just an absolute beauty.

Yeah Julia Stiles is pretty damn hot in the movies. That's all I got.
I just love Julia Stiles.
Don't judge me, dammit, but I re-watch "Save the Last Dance" every couple of years.
She kicked ass in the Borne movies

so everybody is Your Grace now ...?
Nah, I think they're all "Bobby" and "Spiff"
But...now hear me out...the Danes decide to crown Ryan Stiles as their king?
In another fictional universe, Birgitte Nyborg is nodding in approval.
