The entire point of sub-prime lending is not to have the debt repaid in full, it is to squeeze as much money out as possible without ever letting them off the hook. And when they finally stop paying, sell it to a collection agency for that last drop. They often get several times the debt amount as rent payments.

Also, this Hankey guy is going to use this to get as mana MAGAts to get a loan with him as possible, it is a perfect marketing opportunity. And then he is going to squeeze those MAGAts for more than they're worth.

Well...

Considering that collectively, the MAGAts ain't worth all that much, that's an awful lot of squeezing for very little return. If you get my drift. And see that you do.

I think he can easily get tens of millions of loans out to MAGAts, each for about the worth of a car and then squeeze three cars worth of payments out of them on average.

Wow, the intoxicating musk of Trump will bewitch wealthy people into giving the man staggering amounts. And he punishes every one of them for it in the end. It must be some form of kink, devoting your life savings to Trump, a “billionaire,” who will later sue you for it, and destroy your reputation. That fuckwad is suing the 2 founders of Truth Social, because he says they should own ZERO stock. He already owns the vast majority of that money pit that lost $58 million last year, with no profitability in sight, and a future value tied to an obese 78 year old conman who is embroiled in countless lawsuits and indictments. I bet those 2 former “Apprentice” dudes would still say he’s the best thing that ever happened to them, they understand his desire to shaft them after they founded his gross Twitter knockoff, and they hope his lawsuit against them goes well for him. Wingnuts enjoy the punishment he doles out. Hurts so good.

And somewhere, Leticia James sharpens her pencils and starts looking into this bank's other deals.

From "Now This | Know This": Meet a "Rosie the Riveter":

We spoke to an OG Rosie the Riveter about WWII and women’s rights

At 98 years young, Mae Krier is one of the last surviving IRL Rosie the Riveters.

Krier was just a teenager when she built B-17s and B-29s during World War II. After the war was over, though, the Rosies often didn’t get the same level of recognition that the men did for their role in the war.

But now, nearly 80 years later, the Rosies will receive the Congressional Gold Medal.

NowThis recently spoke with Krier at her home in Pennsylvania, as part of our coverage of March’s Women’s History Month. “All the women, well, men and women and children, just dropped everything to save our country,” Krier told us when reflecting on her wartime experience.

Krier says a career highlight was when they got to leave their mark on a very special aircraft.

“It was in May of 1944 that we built the 5,000th B-17 since Pearl Harbor. And to celebrate, they let us all paint our names on it,” she recalled. “It was so funny because we got to push it out on the tarmac for the ceremony. // OSHA, [if they would have] seen us, they'd have a fit.”

Krier said that, while Rosies like herself didn’t expect a reward for doing what they did, it was frustrating not to be acknowledged more formally when the war was over.

“The men came home, they got the G.I. Bill, they got mortgage rates, they got many benefits, and women got none. I mean, just a ‘go back in the kitchen’ kind of thing,” she said. “Making beds and doing dishes is not very rewarding for a woman who has creativity and energy.”

In her adult life, Krier has worked for more than 40 years to get Rosie the Riveters the recognition they deserve. She led the effort to establish ‘Rosie the Riveter Day’ on March 21, and, during the height of Covid, she made thousands of Rosie masks— one was even sent to the International Space Station on a “Rosie the Rocketeer” mannequin.

Now, she and other Rosies will be honored with the Congressional Gold Medal this April. Krier says it’s a huge step, but not the end of the road.

“Just because we've got the Congressional Gold Medal doesn't mean I'm done. I'm still going to work hard for the women and young girls,” she told NowThis. “We still have a long way to go.”

I feel like a place like that might not be worth all that.

I see "plans within plans within plans" here.

Axos seems to have quietly become the major holder of most of PABs debt, and may be making a play to repossess the most valuable bits of the TO "empire" once Donny Delinquent goes to prison, the TO gets dissolved by the NYAG and/or PABs house of cards comes tumbling down due to sheer incompetence. I'm sure that most of those properties could make money without nickle and dime criming as standard operating proceedure.

Hanky Panky indeed!

PAB has - allegedly - 300 millions in actual cash. He's now just pledged 275 millions against those bonds. A smart man would have been working on getting rid of some of his less profitable operations and shoring up the bottom line there. But, I said a smart man. And an honest man would not be facing all the shit he's engineered for himself.
