Obama's put up with enough asshattery already -- I'm glad he's <a href="https:\/\/twitter.com\/MLB\/status\/451034741823651840\/photo\/1" target="_blank">having a good week being a winner among winners,</a> while the wingnutz are being all whiny and butthurt.

I was one of the ones who started the process on the last day. After I selected my state 'Texas' and entered my annual income '$6000' I got the message that I didn't qualify for any subsidy (this is 'Texas') and the cheapest plan was $359 a month. So my registering helped the numbers but there's no way I can afford even the cheapest plan.

Any fellow poorz in Washington or Oregon have decent plans there?

So you're saying that Armageddon is <i>coming</i>, right?

Yes, apparently if Jesus blessed universal healthcare he would have written it into the Constitution. Furthermore the Texas lege is removing money from medical care programs for the poorz on the off chance birth control might be brought up. From the weird thing on my right eyelid that <i>might</i> be skin cancer to my always fragile gall bladder I'll end up dying of something but the death certificate won't list 'lack of proper healthcare' as the real reason.

Between now and the next open enrollment period, try calling a navigator or an application counselor - they are free to consumers. Texas is one of those states that does not give you all the info you need.

Damn, I just tried to find an article I read yesterday from someone in Texas who found an ACA plan for much lower rates via a facilitator and described in some detail why it was so hard to get complete info. I will keep looking for it.

I still can't find the article, but I think the nonprofit "navigator" is Foundation Communities in Austin. If you're not near Austin, maybe they can give you a referral. <a href="http://www.foundcom.org/get..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.foundcom.org/get-financially-stable/in...">http://www.foundcom.org/get...

While searching the nonprofit's name, I did find this, which sums up what you're talking about. And it mentions that insurance brokers are paid by the insurance companies, so maybe you can call any broker. <a href="http://www.kaiserhealthnews..." target="_blank">" rel="nofollow noopener" title="http://www.kaiserhealthnews.org/Cartoons/2014/Mar...">http://www.kaiserhealthnews...

Thanks for the Foundation Communities link. I'll definitely seek their help with filing my income taxes. Since I haven't filed in 3 years (less than $6000 in income, general depression, etc.). I prefer to move to a state that actually has decent healthcare subsidies for ACA but if it took a nickel to go around the world I couldn't get out of sight!

Of course, the politicians have always had premium taxpayer-funded health plans. So nothing new there.

As the number of voting-age adults who benefit from the ACA approaches 10 million, 8 months out from midterm elections, the GOP begins to rethink its strategy of relentlessly calling the law "Obamacare."

Yeah, it was the cult of personality that mesmerized all those poor naive Democrats and liebruls.

Well, that and being able to pay for doctors and medicine.

hey you guys! haven't been around much but mannnn i am so proud that i have forced obamacare on america for the last six months. it has totally been a worthwhile job.

here is a thing:

our penultimate enrollment last night walked in our office and said "i am a dying man". (i wish i did not know this, but he is).

as he left, he said 'i do not know what this 'obamacare' is. did i succeed?'
