Lest we forget, journalists want to keep their jobs. I can only assume they're afraid to disinvite Trump for fear of repercussions from their employers, who, in turn, are afraid Trump will find a way to ensure that their news organizations go out of business. It brings to mind "Something Happened," Joseph Heller's novel about corporate America.
I thought they normally come up at 5 AM MST after the time change. My clocks all say it's 4:07 MST right now. Is somebody mind-fucking me now? (Don't answer that!)
wait'll they hear fully half evangelicals already guessed that /and are supporting him anyway so they can usher in the end times and be the chosen despite how Jesus told his followers that kind of shit was all kinds of sinful/.
One of the things I'm actually happy about is how much research and commentary is happening around the so-called "AI" that is being pushed right now. There's a lot of good uses for it, but many of them simply don't make sense or will pay off. I *DO* hope that the HUGE investments in the magic beans take out some of the assholes pushing it.
Amazon's technical division laid off most of its technical writing staff in January 2026. Most of the writers were remote workers. They were informed in September that they would need to report to work in person at a brick and mortar Amazon workplace or face being laid off. In other words, if you didn't live near an Amazon facility, you would have to move your family to another location or a different state. Their work was to be taken over by the engineers who create their business software. The task would be to teach the AI bots about the software and the bots would then write the technical instructions. I'm curious how that's been going, but since my SO was laid off, I have no way of finding out.
That's more of why I think they're embracing it so hard - no one to blame. Just like DOGE, "The AI alerted us of this "DEI" government contract" - no idea what tf that meant, went ahead and got rid of it.
Exactly, ALL THESE COMPANIES that “created” their own AIs - where exactly did this program come from? Grok I think has already be an accomplice for revenge porn and child sexual images
Not to mention driving people insane, when is SOMEONE going to be held accountable?
Qatar minister just said it's possible the situation could spiral out of control. Israel warned Iranian civilians last night not to take trains- railways now being bombed.
You know, as much as I appreciated the credits, it really should have been baked in that companies could not increase their price by that much (and they so did) so that when the credits expired, they would still be affordable.
The first car company who figures this out is gonna make fucking bank
Don’t feel too bad, the batteries that go into EVs are made with dirty nickel from the Chinese-owned mines in Indonesia. Indonesians are also dying in those mines because there are no safety regulations.
While true, I am sure that there are people dying in mines for the stuff in regular car batteries also, not to mention the computer components now in all cars, and of course, all the people dying in all the very many oil wars.
At least EVs are not killing the air so much, since people have got to die, apparently, for our conveyance anyway
Fishing communities in Sulawesi no longer have the ability to make a living because the nickel mines have polluted the water, and more there’s more air pollution in. Indonesia because the Chinese owned smelters are powered by a coal-fired power plants.
Who gave them the pocket square idea…Chuck Schumer? Hakeem Jeffries?
It’s like buying season tickets for the Cleveland Browns. Have some dignity people.
If those correspondents had real spine they would hold their circle jerk and not invite anyone from the "administration" to attend.

I haven't read Something Happened but have searched out the audio book on your recommendation
My mom had Catch 22 in the house when I was a kid but wouldn't let me read it - then once I had Grown Girl things to do I couldn't find the time
As for the journalists - I submit that's an explanation and not an excuse when collective action would stop his bullying

Why I distrust most "journalists" these days. If they were serious about the First Amendment stuff, they'd call off the whole damned thing.
Agreed
Remember a lot of the real journalists of WHCA have been replaced with hacks

This reminds me of Pelosi and company wearing those stupid African scarfs.
Ooooh, wearing coordinated pocket squares.
That'll show him.
He can't read
next they can start a Whisper Campaign!
Aaaa!! It's a whole minute after 7 and there's no TABS yet! The world is ending!
7:04 -- Whew, they're up now. Crisis averted!

Wearing a "Suck it Trump" pocket square is commendably nonpartisan considering our time line.

If Tr666p *weren't* the AntiChrist, would he be doing anything differently?
He's a mass murderer that embodies all of the seven deadly sins.
Evilungelical ChrISIStians have blasted past heresy, apostasy, and idolatry. They've gone to Plaid.
Fitting.

Wikipedia has banned articles written by Ai.
They should allow it, but only for articles ABOUT AI.
Cause that would be hilarious
That's more of why I think they're embracing it so hard - no one to blame. Just like DOGE, "The AI alerted us of this "DEI" government contract" - no idea what tf that meant, went ahead and got rid of it.
"OOPS... Wasn't me, was the AI"
srsly.
If this were a human employee this incompetent, they'd be fired
"And who gave the AI the parameters for its job?"
"Carl! It's *always* fucking Carl!"

That is happening in the courts right now. It will take a while to wind its way through the system.
It is likely, given the number of rich white men involved, that the response will be inadequate.
MSNOW: 'Headfakes' *re: 8pm) according to Iran media (*not yet confirmed*). The bombing of Iran infrastructure has begun (Kharg too).
So what was the "Tuesday 8pm EDT" shit about? His next bowel movement?
Prime Time TV announcement?
Tiedrich speculated he was trying to set the TiVO in his limo.
That's the so called headfake. AKA 'lies'. Hoping to find Iran unprepared I guess. Morons.
They think Iran doesn't have access to all the communications. Russia does, so why wouldn't Vlad just send it all to Iran?

The Chinese EV companies have. They are just not available here.
You and I, Jen, will be the EV-smuggling Bonnie & Clyde running EVs across the border from Canada!
Netflix! I got your next box office smash right here!
Wait for me!
oohhh yes lets DO EEET
I want one. I am still stuck on "gas guzzler" because I legit cannot afford a new car. Fuck, I can't afford a USED car.
Right now I am going on the "if the repair is still under blue book, it gets fixed" rule.

So much stupid money.
It's not gambling! It is just betting on the outcome of games!
So that assumes the commodity is the outcome. If true, that means if I can buy a futures contract on the outcome, I can buy the outcome itself?
they're just very FAST futures
Andn you cannot sell them back after the game is over
