Ah, this is the one in El Cerrito, or maybe Albany, with a person-sized, novelty, hand gun, weather vane.

Slightly longer: If you don't believe in abortion, don't have one.

Consider also the fact that women make up just 24.5% of all state legislators, 20% in the US Senate and 19.3% in the House. Does this give you some idea as to which gender is mostly responsible for creating and passing these anti-women laws?

Among all the nonsense emanating from Aden's mouth was his bemoaning the fact that it was a man, just one man, who cast the deciding vote against Texas. *gasp* How dare he decide on a women's issue! Oh, wait... Ifill's remark that a great many decisions are decided by one vote went right past Aden. Just so much white noise as far as he was concerned.

*giggle giggle* Oh I'm not one of those thinkin' gals! *giggle*

I remember when Dead Scalia the Originalist was pushing the idea that the Constitution gave everyone the right to be any kind of Christian they chose. Even some of his winger buddies laughed at him on that one.

Reading through Proof of the GOP War on Women - sad reading indeed - I came across this gem.

"In Mississippi, Republicans think they have found a way to eliminate abortion intheir state without directly challenging Roe v. Wade: Having said that he plans to make his state abortion-free (the state already has only one abortion clinic), Gov. Phil Bryant signed Mississippi House Bill 1390 on April 16, 2012, which requires all physicians who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a local hospital and board certification in obstetrics and gynecology. Bryant said: “I believe that all human life is precious, and as governor, I will work to ensure that the lives of the born and unborn are protected in Mississippi,” (stress is mine) Apparently, the lives of mothers aren’t important in Mississippi. State Rep. Adrienne Wooten (D-Jackson) told the men in the House:”Now, if you’re that concerned about unplanned pregnancies, go get snipped,” The bill takes effect July 1, 2012."

As I stated below about the hypocrisy of self-proclaimed pro-lifers, Mississippi still has the death penalty on its books, and Gov Phil is OK with that. Seems the preciousness of life also has a shelf life. Also, major props to State Rep. Adrienne Wooten for outstanding snark.

Yes! I never understood how someone (Scalia) claiming to be an expert and scholar on all things US Constitution, could put forth such a statement with a straight face. All he need do was to read (comprehension implied) some of the --many-- papers written by the Founding Fathers explaining themselves, to know that his religion-based decisions were-- and I'm being kind here-- ridiculous and indefensible.

Alas, since I too am a woman, all this thinking is wilting my delicate constitution. :-) *giggle giggle*

Granted. Some positions are indefensible.

I know... it routinely blew my mind how this giant legal brain - ha ha - couldn't figure out that a) the First Amendment was written to guarantee not freedom OF religion, but freedom FROM government imposition or intrusion into a person's religion, because b) you can't have freedom OF religion without being free FROM the religion of others... nor could I ever understand how Captain Constitution somehow missed that there were two references to religion in the whole document plus Bill of Rights and BOTH were in the negative.

*fans self* My lady brain is tired now, also too, so let's just sit here looking decorative...
