I think the majority of LEO’s support them, and pretty much any Republican judge would also be onboard.

I’m sure he’s quaking in his boots about a subpoena…seriously can we dispense with the fiction that DOJ can force testimony? Because nothing in criminal contempt forces testimony. They’ll continue blowing off subpoenas as long as the Committee insists on outsourcing its job to some DOJ flunky.

True. And who can blame them? Lawyers like this have to go full Kraken to get dinged and as far as I know even lin wood hasn't been disbarred yet. A sanction here, a sanction there, just get MAGAt money to pay the fine. What's kind of sad is that attorney licensing bodies do go after the politically unconnected with relish.

With relish.

You know it.

A disbarment inquiry was actually instigated with the DC Bar into Bill Barr.

Once it reached senior ranks, that went nowhere.

I ... have a whole lot to say about that culminating in a sustained rant about glaring and longstanding patterns of perceived inaction in instances of even the most egregious infractions by privileged people in a given nation/culture but ... it's a REAL cold Monday after a too short "holiday break" and I don't have it

I know. I'm not in a confrontational or ranty mood right now either. Most of the time, the licensing bodies go after the dummies who mingle client funds with their own or outright borrow client funds. Throw in some sleeping with your client. The politically connected, however, sleep well at night no matter what they do.

Your honor, if I may call the court's attention to the margin notes on exhibit F17, third paragraph, my previous counsel's suggested corrections have been entered into the record, so we're done here. As always thanks for upholding justice to the high standards judges of your stature have provided the community all of these long years.
