So, electoral solutions are impossible without electoral wins (at the Presidential level), and electoral wins are dependent upon SCOTUS composition, AFTER a series of electoral solutions has led to multiple electoral wins, thus changing the composition of the SCOTUS to something more amenable to electoral solutions?

Is that a fair summation of the problem?

Wow I'm old. I am so old that I remember when Bernie Sanders' "far left" "socialist" positions and policy proposals were all things that standard-issue mainstream Democrats used to say, back when they were winning elections.

<rant-let>Don't go blaming Three Mile Island for that. Any health impacts from TMI were indistinguishable from background noise. (Sorry, unwarranted fear of nuclear energy raises my hackles. I'm totally fine with warranted concerns though, like the fact that we're still using designs from the '60s and have poor oversight and regulatory capture.)</rant-let>
