There's that word, 'prove,' again. I don't think it means what they think it means.

I don't actually know much physics, so I don't know which equation those things are supposed to be put into. I believe part b of that question is a trick, because if it's come to rest then it won't move. I just always loved that one for the creative way the student said "Fuck it, I don't know how to do this."

I am reminded of one of my favorite band names - it was a cover band in South Carolina. They called themselves "The Betty Ford Experience."

If you add two numbers, The first odd and the second even, the result is odd. If you add 1 to both numbers, the first one is now even and the second is odd, but the sum is still odd.

I feel for you. I had a hip replacement last year the day before Thanksgiving. Thank God there was booze and pie the next day.

I’m doing fine. Getting ready for Thanksgiving across the border in NY. One of my markers is going down and the other one went up a bit. I get scanned in January and am guessing there might be treatment after. But my doc tells me there’s a new treatment about to be approved. Meanwhile I feel good. Thanks for asking.

It always comes to rest at the point of contact (well, except it deforms the spring, but there’s a change from kinetic to potential wherein its velocity is zero, and then potential to kinetic in the other direction)

Literally. Just before Adobe went to Creative Clobbering, they report slightly over one billion PROFIT for the previous. And wailing "It's not enough, we're getting robbed!"

Thanks. I have the album on vinyl. I should fire up the turntable. Maybe this weekend.
