I would offer that AOC is a complete repudiation to the common trope that "all politicians are the same", which is reductive and completely untrue. There are good politicians - people who are willing to stand up to criticism, slander and personal threats in order to try and move the human project just a little further towards the common good.
I've admired her since she first got elected, and if we had a couple of million AOCs at every level of government we would be that much closer to having a nation to be proud of.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Pete Buttigieg are two of the most articulate speakers both with incredible debating skills. Either would make a great president. They both should team up (even if it's not to run for president) because I think they've got the skills to change the world.

She sees a blue tsunami coming, based on emerging demographics once we boomers are out the way, that will leave the Dems in power for decades. Nearly endless power there to push hard for programs and policies, in comparison to the flashy shiny thing of running for President.
So. this is why a solidly blue New York congressional district with a firmly ensconced and highly placed representative threw said board certified Democratic white guy out, and replaced him with an almost unknown (okay, completely unknown) woman who previously made her living as a barkeep. Sometimes the electorate has brains, after all.
