I'd like to point out a distinction here, if I may. Mohamed bin Bonesaw's trolls are going after Bezos for being Jewish. That's anti-Semitism as defined (which is a little funny because I've heard people say that Arabs are Semitic people too; not that I cared enough to verify because that's the kind of crap we're trying to get rid of, outside the study of Anthropology).
It does follow that an anti-Jewish bigot as MbS appears to be would hate the nation-state of Israel also, because it's really Jewy.
However, antagonism toward the nation-state of Israel does not require or imply anti-Jewish bigotry. The nation-state of Israel seems likely to incarcerate Netanyahu. The most adamant opposition to the policies of the current Administration of the nation-state of Israel are Israeli citizens in opposition.
I've watched this saga with interest. Bezos is not my ideal of great man but I do admire how he has grasped capitalism by the ass and made it work for him--not my first pick of how to go about life but he used what he had. He's a greedy greedy nerd; he had a mid-life crisis and, and as is so often true, in his low-dick faze picked a hottie without much thought. Seen this a hundred times. Optimistic me, I think he bought WAPO because he supports great investigative news. I champion him in that. And thank him for his dollars. WAPO is the only paper, because of course, that pushed on and on in the Khashoggi murder--As America turns a blind eye and our president slips some nuclear technology to Saudi Arabia, Can you say ambivalent? I'm leaning towards a decent newspaper.
swmnguy's comment caused me to do some research on Semitics. I had no idea. It appears to be separated by language and Arabic IS Semitic. Yiddish is from Germanic background. I had no idea. I'm going to look into this further. But is fun to know that in Saudi Arabia they're dissing a nice non-Jewish boy for being...well, Jewish I guess.
