Great speech, the closing was perfect. And while he did allude to the hundreds of thousands of poll workers, most of whom are volunteers, who worked tirelessly to ensure a free and fair election, he missed an opportunity to bring it home.
He may have been better served by acknowledging the unstated obvious, that we can believe this election was free and fair because hundreds of thousands of people who didn’t vote for him did their jobs honestly. They did their jobs this election just as thousands of Americans did their jobs four years ago, with the knowledge it meant the person who represents everything they see as a threat to their way of life was going to be the next president of the United States.
He also could have called out the Trump voters for their participation, noting that they did their civic duty as well, but simply were outvoted in the election.
