A proper billionaire tax would tax billionaires and send all of the moneys to me.

We have a relatively new one near me and I've been a time or two. I don't get the fascination. Maybe I'm not doing it right?

As they have been for the last dozen years, right?

Today we ask comrades at an autonomous breakfast collective in Brooklyn...

But yes, we are ignored for the most part in our own party, let alone in the media.

"So much for President Biden’s pivot to the political middle."

It says a lot that "the political middle" is that right wing.

Ihave been advocating to raise the capital gains tax for decades now. And short term capital gains should be taxed at an even higher rate.

How would a conventional force conquer the US, anyway? Amphibious landings? Not likely in the satellite age. A huge buildup in Canada and/or Mexico, taking months to prepare? Not sure I see that in the cards.

Also, we should remove the cap on income subject to the Payroll Tax, and slash the percentage rate.

And we should apply the Payroll Tax to "unearned income" as well, and slash the rate yet again.

People in the lower 50% by income pay more in Payroll Tax than Federal Income Tax, by a long shot.

I, on the other hand, when we're not in a pandemic, pay far more in Federal Income Tax than Payroll Tax, even though I'm self-employed so I pay both halves of it (15.3%, rather than the 7.65% employees pay).

"meaning hundreds of successful entrepreneurs and small business owners who accumulated wealth over decades through innovation and hard work."

In other words, people who can afford to pay.
