Am I picking nits to say that Roe v.Wade was not a "law"?

Tsewang58's avatar

No. And that's the problem with Dem messaging/ narrative controlling.

carovee's avatar

True. It was a court decision about a law.

What are the chances the Tories go through at least two more incompetent PMs (possibly including Johnson Part Deux) prior to January 2025 without deigning to call a real election?

I was speaking to a friend yesterday evening, one who claimed to be an independent, when she complained about Biden and the rest of his administration "overpromising", but not delivering. Her example was on student debt relief - she maintained that the original "promise" was to all student debtors, all their debt forgiven, now limited to just some, and no more than $10K.

I couldn't even.- but I will attempt to never talk politics with her again

I like the alliteration, but the word "harridan" appears to be a sexist descriptor ( "Harridan, stereotype of an unpleasant, belligerent, bossy woman; essentially synonymous with shrew...)[ Wiki ]

Reporter: Any restrictions on abortion at all?Biden: Yes Reporter: What should they be?Biden: Roe V. Wade. Read it man. You’ll get educated

FINAFUCKINGLY!!!

A Democrat actually saying that Roe IS limiting on abortion.

I have been yelping here for weeks at how badly Dem candidates were dealing with the "abortion on demand until the moment of birth" lies from the Right.

Now, WH messaging unit and smart lady in charge of WH Twitter, PUHLEEZE start emphasizing that later abortions were restricted under Roe and that these were only the most tragic situations and that we want to go back to rules that worked for 50 years precisely because they acknowledged BOTH fetal development and the medical needs of women.
