"Ken Paxton invited a crowd to spell out what sets him apart from his Senate rival, and a heckler happily obliged by blindsiding him.
In a clip shared Saturday by journalist Aaron Rupar, Paxton, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Texas, urged the audience to "tell your friends the difference between me and James Talarico," his Democrat opponent. One audience member shouted back, "Paxton, you take bribes!
I'm watching "The Wiz" when I should be canvassing. This headache has been lingering since Tuesday and has me down. I'm hoping that I get trick-or-treaters. I have play-doh and spider rings. Also quarters for if I get any UNICEF-ers.
“We have no idea how long this legal effort will take but, whether it’s a few days, a few weeks or several months, we will be ready to fight him every step of the way,” Schumer wrote.
So they'll think about discussing possibly doing something to stand up to the not-so-great pumpkin at some time potentially in the future? Yeah, that sounds like the same Chuck who'd rather represent imaginary republicans than democrats.
I get that tides are relative and these are extraordinary tides for California, but right now in Kachemak Bay, Alaska, high tide is 9 feet. The highest tide today will be 17.8 feet. On the full moon it was 21.2 feet. It’s all relative. We build above the high tide line, or should, and yeah, our coastlines are eroding, too.
I’ve been monitoring the early voting numbers in Harris County, home of Houston, TX. We are a blue city/county and the largest in Texas, so turnout is obviously key.
The early voting total for the 2022 midterms was 750,349.
The early voting total for this year’s midterms? A whopping 1,081,010.
Obviously, no way to tell how this shakes out until the ballots are counted, but I don’t believe Republicans are the ones excited to vote this year.
King Peptides!
Ta, Brooke. I hope you and all west coast Wonketteers stay safe.

Not sure. It has been happening on other substack sites too.
Mistakes were made. Nothing personal.
Substack by default makes any post paid sub comments only.

Here is a fun Halloween costume that looks amazingly real.

OT: Remember that voting helps remove orange shit stains.
Vote around the collar beats shit around the collar!
I wish I knew this as a kid.
Wait, did Brooke actually debunk anything here?
This being a King Tide, like it says in the subhed?
Mmm, OK then.
Why is Brooke on the water beat anyway?
Local turf.
And surf?
High tide on the coast is gonna be nuts all winter.

Yeah, California has avoided real spending on coastal flood defenses for way too long.
The beaches in SoCal are gonna be rearranged this winter. The Pacific Ocean goes where it wants to go. Mudslides could get bad in NorCal.
I'm hoping the Father in laws cabin doesn't get flooded.
Yeah but Exxon on BP are making so much money
Capitalism! Yay!!
And the administration wants to open coastal California to drilling. That makes it even more efficient.
Yeah, "we."
Did someone give Chuckles back his testicles?

Why is he even entertaining the idea of several months? Wtf kind of flight is that?? Fuck him!!
Now he gets around to that? Lets just drop him at the senior center and never come back for him.

I'm impressed that they didn't call it a Collaborative Anti-Hostility Room.
Local Nurse Remains Skeptical
Sure, that’s what he says…
My impression from listening to Democratic House members is the prepartions are real. They are also assembling an agenda for January.
They need to be writing policy already, not spending three months setting and agenda. It can then be tweaked.
If Jeffries wants to be Speaker, now is the time to demonstrate why he's the right guy.
He's not and therefore he can't
I can’t imagine the conference still has much confidence in him. Legislative conferences are restive in general, Democrats doubly so.

Fundy
Some places are sinking as well.
Tide is essentially a function of latitude.
Although the UK has I believe the biggest tidal reach on earth in one spot.
You need a car to outrun the tide there.
Or a boat.
What is tidal reach, anyway? And aren't you thinking of Cananda?
Total height change from lowest to highest. The relatively contained nature of the North Sea makes a significant difference.
Or a car on a boat. With a pony.
Down a hole!
WITH AN OWL!!!!
And a HOWL!!!
OT Nice Time 🤞🤞
