They don't want to talk about climate change right now because we they need to attract enough of the Republican voters and, those guys only care about things that hurt their pocketbook like the high gas prices, food prices, etc. They have been very clear they DGAF about climate change, and the more we pound on that point the harder their stance gets.
They don't and wont care about climate change until their homes become unlivable.
They DGAF about the mass deportations until someone close to them gets picked up by ICE, or their workers are snatched off the jobsite and their company grinds to a halt and the food is rotting in their fields, or their beef isn't selling, and they're looking down the barrel of bankruptcy.
They don't care about the war in Iran except how it is affecting their gas prices, or they need diesel to run their farm equipment

Now I think we'll win back the house and maybe take the Senate too - But Dick Johnson will refuse to see all the democrats that won, or at least just enough to retain Republican control. I think the same holds true for 2028, I think that whatever MAGA is left will go domestic terrorist.
Honestly they can be the sweetest people in the world - in descending order to their families, their friends, church members, the rest of the small town, their party.
They are absolutely hateful towards everyone not white, democrats in general, and the city dwellers who they they perceive as disenfranchising them and constantly assaulting their way of life and imposing viewpoints
And constantly attacking them is harming us. We don't have to forgive them, but we must remember we have to live with them, somehow. We can no more deport them than they can deport (or disenfranchise us). Hopefully they can't.
WE keep escalating the social justice war. And the loudest voices in the room are the most strident and insulting. There's always a new group to force on them. And screaming progressives and extremist liberals have NO chance of getting through.
