I am definitely not going back to check on this, but wasn't there a time when Palin could at least make a somewhat-coherent sentence? Oh, wait - that was when she had McCain's speechwriters writing her bullshit. Never mind.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I remembered Tina Fey's hilarious recitation, verbatim, of a Palin word salad back in 2008. Some pundit called it her "stream of consciousness" style, which is pretty funny if you think about it: what comes out of her mouth is exactly what's going through her mind.
