OK, not that Lawnmower Man. Here is a gentleman who has taken it upon himself to tidy up memorials and monuments around Washington DC during the government shutdown. Says Gawker:

Perhaps because even with all the free PR before the event, generally only a few thousand people show up. If crowds the size of these showed up for the average Division I football game, it would be considered a failure.
This fellow reminds me of a mantra one of my old bosses used: if it is to be, it is up to me. In other words, if you see trash on the ground, pick it up.
