And where I work we are forbidden to have one to one video meetings with students which is tough on the instrumental music teachers and remedial reading teachers. We also do not have spyware installed on the laptops we send out, not the malware kind or the creepy stalkerware kind. I do not know why the fuck you would do this. The potential liability when, not if, when, that system is breached is monumental. Someone should also report that to the FBI because the chance there are no underwear clad juvenile pics on that system is virtually zero.I wonder if it is actually possible to sign away your rights to protection from surveillance and search, the 4th Amendment? Because from a government school, that sounds like a constitutional violation.
They hate public schools, but it is worse to have the kids at home, because they are not in day care...that is some mental gymnastics "reason" is doing there
Every stick, every pool noodle, legos if nothing else offered- and I did not let them watch war movies or anything either. The most gun action they ever witnessed were the sounds of shots in Bambi or Gaston blowing a hole in a table in Beauty and the Beast.Somehow, in some way (it is school) they learned all about them
Oh, Jeez, not only is it in my state, and my hometown area, it's actually in my school district - District 3. It's only in Colorado Springs by courtesy (of the USPS) - we are on unincorporated land, and can't vote for Mayor or City Council or any city ordinances - only for County stuff. But we don't pay city sales tax either (unless we go into town). Ironically, "Security" originated as a housing development not long after WWII and was named as a not to the nearby Army base, FortCarson, which provided its original homeowners.
All of which has nothing to do with the fact that this is CRAP and completely unacceptable.
"Reason has been leading a one-mag-stand on police-'involved' shootings...."Do the police need extra magazines because they anticipate getting into a prolonged firefight with a 7th grader?
You must have, by your own admission.

Zero Tolerance is a blunt instrument used by blunt people.

...Isn't improper behavior at home sort of a thing the parents are supposed to deal with?
Rule 1: they're always full of shit
Rule 2: If you don't think they're full of shit, see rule 1.

like watching kids undress secretly on school supplied webcams?
Doctor libelz!
I hope you're right, and that the impact isn't just in Woodward's bank account.
