For all these "there is no evidence that _____ ever did _____" excuses by Epstein pals, remember there are about 3 million docs still not released which likely contain any and all the smoking guns.

I take metformin and I think it's pretty boring. It's certainly not something you'd be making innuendo-ish emails about. I guess my 90-day supply that comes in the mail could be described s a "shipment?"

Oh please, let it happen. I mean, I know it never would--Dear Leader would force his toadies in Congress to 86 the whole idea--but it would be GLORIOUS. And the whole thing would scream coverup.

And of course the whole "I'm gonna sue that hack Trevor Noah whoever he is!" is just HILARIOUS. He thinks mindless, baseless threats are going to do anything but make people laugh? Even if he could find a semi-competent attorney, Yamtits would open himself up to discovery, and that...would not be pretty. For him.

And this is your reminder that (1) Nicki Minaj is not an American citizen, (2) Bad Bunny is, and (3) that "gold card" Minaj was so happy to flaunt was a fake. Meaningless.

A friend of mine was an undergrad working in a biomed lab at Hahvahd a while back, when Jeffrey Epstein -- apparently a potential donor -- come through on tour.

She recalls that he was accompanied by two teenage Russian girls, and the creep factor was way, way past 11.

Prolly the Larry Summers connection.

Jack Smith's testimony was "closed door" too, but that didn't stop us from getting to watch it. Those stupid Maga Repubs are sure gluttons for punishment. 😁

Sure it would be nice if Democrats were as good at promoting actual scandals and harming their political foes with actual scandals as Republicans are at doing the same to Democrats with completely made up scandals. So, I'm no holding my breath that there will be any serious repercussions from all of this.

The absolute saddest part of this is; nothing... nothing will come of it. This is not "The end of the TRUMP Presidency!". No one... no one... will ever be held accountable in any foreseeable future. When President Shitzhispants (https://www.queerty.com/did-trmp-really-just-soil-his-diaper-on-live-tv-an-investigation-20260202/) realizes all the years of subterfuge paid off, he'll toddle onto something else to destroy while his billionaire buddies keep funneling money into his coffers.

Lesson: Crime doesn't pay, it earns favor and reward.

I just saw an Australian TV news clip in which they suggested that The Andrew Formerly Known as Prince might just get kicked out of Sandringham any minute now, if he hasn't been already. They suggested his only remaining option would be to throw himself on the mercy of some of his Sheikh friends in Dubai, and go live there.

The worst thing you can do to filthy rich people is take all their money away. I had this idle thought that everyone associated with Epstein who is proved to have been a collaborator in his sex trafficking schemes should have every last dollar, vehicle, stock, investment, mansion, yacht and private plane confiscated, then be given a new identity, a Section 8 studio apartment on the South Side of Chicago, the minimum SSI income to live on, and lose their driver's license forever so that they have to take public transport.

And hey, let's do the same to everyone in the Frump Administration who is eventually convicted of insurrection, treason, or any violation of the US Constitution or US laws.

Heck, let's give them their own town. Somewhere in the Nevada desert would be good, as close to the Nevada National Security Site as it can go. With no internet or cable TV hookups or cell phone service.

There are too many of them to stuff into one of Elon's Starships and send it to the Moon. I would prefer to send it to Venus, anyway. Venus is entirely appropriate for child rapists.

Hmm, Rupert Maxwell must have taken a fee/cut/whatever of the Russian money he was laundering, but still needed to raid the Daily Mirror pension fund to stay afloat (or, eventually, not). Who was he paying off?

I have a plan, called "TrumpSolve."

The way it works is, people who have a problem they want solved send me all their money. Small bills, non-sequential.

That's it, that's the plan.

Dexter Mathorphan's avatar

"The Trump Homes proposal takes a different approach: increasing housing supply through a business model commonly known as rent-to-own. In past iterations, the model has resembled a standard lease that includes an option to buy, allowing families to move into a home they’d like to purchase before they have saved a down payment.

Private market rent-to-own businesses have suffered from common pitfalls, including the quality of property management during the rental period and the low percentage of renters who successfully acquire their homes."

TakingAmes's avatar

The problem with rent to own schemes is that it may take the tenants 15 years to save enough to actually buy the place, at which point the home’s major systems start to fail and the new homeowner spent all their savings on the down payment and can’t afford to replace the roof/windows/HVAC system.

Jeff, still got my guitar's avatar

I worked at Chic Myers House of TV for a bit. RTO TVs, stereos and appliances. Rarely, if ever did anyone rent long enough to own. That's why the first word is rent.

MRK's avatar

Even a competitive rent will, for many, make saving a down payment impossible. At which point they'd be better off renting an apartment and leaving maintenance to the actual owners.

GH Swell's avatar

80 year rent to own!

Tecolote's avatar

It really pisses me off to see Democrats like Robert Garcia and the eight others who voted to recommend that the Clintons be held in contempt. I heard Garcia explain that it was because if they showed good will by testifying, all the repubs who actually have the pertinent Epstein info and are avoiding testifying, will suddenly be shamed into following the Clintons' lead. Have they not been paying attention? The Clintons will be fine but it's just another successful attempt by repubs to delay what should be done.

Vileaxxe's avatar

Repubs will shamed? Following someone’s good will? My dog, that’s so dumb. Mr Garcia is so dumb he lives out where the bus don’t run.

Coleman's avatar

somebody paid Mr. Garcia off?

Vileaxxe's avatar

Let’s hope so. If he’s only corrupt then maybe he’s not too stupid to live.

Queen Méabh's avatar

"shamed"????

Whooo Boy, What drugs is Garcia taking?

Pisto75666-Radical Left Scum's avatar

And whatever they are, could he please pass them over?

Babe Paley's avatar

These are people who have not been paying attention to anything. Every single republican if asked would be like "well, the Clintons SHOULD testify, and frankly, should be in jail!" and not one person in the media would ask "and what about you?" though if they were asked they'd say it's different because they themselves did nothing wrong.

MRK's avatar

Republicans shamed? What world does Garcia live in?

swmnguy's avatar

They're playing games. Outwitting themselves, I think.

But they think they're "shaping the political landscape," something like that.
