Bad, lazy, lame-ass comedy that demeans an entire race more than it makes its intended audience laugh or even smirk.
If you think the downside is justified in the name of a microscopic amount of comedy, you probably don't give a shit about the race being demeaned. That might just make you racist. "Deep hatred" is not part of the normal definition of racism, by the way.
Definition #3 and you're claiming it's a necessary requirement under any definition? And even then it's in an \"or\" Overreach and faceplant.

If you can't tell the difference between insulting a single person whose lifetime of work provides a veritable hoarde of legitimate reasons to make him the object of derision and who no longer has feelings to hurt, versus demeaning an entire race just because they have the misfortune to resemble a loathesome creature the vast majority of them have never even heard of let alone met, well, then neither of us are likely to gain anything from further dialog.

*I've not watched it because somebody gave me the first book and I got seriously bogged down in it. However, I may someday watch the thing, just because of that scene.
It's worth it, really. So are the books, but you have to learn to skim through the Danerys parts, because she's as boring as hell. Worth it for Tyrion and Arya and Jon, though.
I think he feels his relevance slipping away. He's so desperate for a White House scandal of some sort that he's lowered himself to Faux News' "manufactured outrage" tactics.
