You know, it's like it's not anything I didn't know long ago, but for some reason it just never sinks in: the comments sections of political websites other than Wonkette are the most maddening, enraging places on the Internet. It's either conservatives braying about SOCIALIZMENS or liberals screeching about how PROGRESSIVE! they are. In a way, I think the latter irritates me more, just because, like, I agree with those people in a general way, but they make me want to join the Tea Party just out of spite, and I don't like that feeling.

You see, that's the thing, I know NEVER to read Yahoo or newspaper website comments, but I can't seem to resist, say, TPM's comments, which are really nothing more than people yelling, "PROGRESSIVE!" and "OBAMABOT!" and "FIREBAGGER!" at each other all day, every day.

Because they're uncompromising obstructionists. Unlike when Republicans do it, when it's known as principled unity.

I rummaged around and found a bottle of local Concorde, which is almost as sweet as Manischevitz. Hiding under the bed and drinking sounds like a plan to me!

yeah, i feel like i'm down the rabbit hole everytime a repub speaks - the last three days have been 100% democratic text spouted by the likes of eric cantor and mcturtles and orange julius.

weird.
