Girls at my school had to start wearing shorts under our dresses because the boys were so busy trying to pull up our skirts and pull down our panties at recess. Ah, good times.
While reading this I was actually thinking of Young but more so Barbara Stanwyck. She had a really terrible childhood and got her show biz start as a chorus girl and dancing in speakeasies at the ripe age of almost 16. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to figure out what a girl had to do to get that kind of work back then. As an adult, her politics were very conservative, she opposed FDR and was all 'hard work boot-straps got me where I am'. I guess taking a handout was out of the question when you could just suck Flo Ziegfeld's dick? I get the feeling,as with Loretta Young, this attitude was triggered by guilt, by feelings of shame brought on by sexual assaults. It's really heart breaking because it hints to self loathing in women who were in every other respects vibrant, dynamic and strong.
i remember having my shirt loop (the one with the homophobic nickname) ripped off by a girl or two in middle school, but that just made joining our sweaty hands during couples' skate all the more exciting.
Okay, it was expected. You lived that, I didn't. Maybe it was expected and you learned to live with it. Fine.
But the fact that it's, say, less okay for a producer to tell a woman to get on her knees and do some sucking if she wants into that Brad Pitt movie, is somehow more awful?
As a boy in the USSR, I witnessed the same story. Somehow the boys got in trouble only for fighting with other boys. All the while we were taught how progressive we were with respect to women's rights. Smh.
I count five flags. One is the eponymous banner splattered with gasballs. The only surprise is that not one of the other four appears to be a flag of treason in defense of slavery.

Another violation of the Federal Records Act. Another day ending in 'y
Oh, I am so sorry. How awful.

Thank god that Britt Eklund is the conscience of our age.
I am sorry that all happened to you.

There's a very good reason to be afraid you'll get in trouble for defending yourself... because it's likely that you will.
I bet she didn't have to blow Harvey Weinstein.

I think you have her confused with Barbara Bach.

I got over it and was stronger than him by 14 or 15.
That's in a way different category than getting some Harvey Weinstein in your mouth.
Because boomers jerked it to her, back when they could still get it up
