Well, in our case, she died when the boys were 1 and 4. Nevertheless, they seem to have turned out pretty free of sexism or genderism. As did my ex-daughter.

I think a lot of it has to do with environment. Ours was San Jose. We didn't only have parents telling their boys that women are equals, we had parents telling their girls that women are equals.

I'm an old Boomer. There has been progress. Not as quick as we once expected, but still.

till graduating high school..girls have the lead...then boys catch up and are fairly equal.

This is why I hammer my oldest, who can do basic algebra in the 2nd grade, that girls who do math rule the world. She got those genes from daddy. And let me thank my own dad here, who always and forever encouraged me in STEM.

In my graduating class (Computer Systems) there was one girl. That's totally disheartening.

Boys start out afraid of girls. The girls mature into women while the boys are still boys so the fear grows exponentially.

Have you ever been denied an interview because you are a guy? I'm a girl and I was - even with a recommendation from within that company.

What are you even talking about? There are sides? Peaceful solution? Where do you get that I don't have a problem with discrimination? Is promoting sorely lacking female talent in STEM discriminatory to men? If this is what you are talking about - you have a whole bunch of privilege to examine.
