That's how the friend of a friend of mine is alleged to have died.

We had heard that he'd been caught by the cops with some pot and cocaine, and they wanted him to name names. Instead of telling them that he wanted to speak to his lawyer, he drove into a bridge abutment.

Seriously. The best answer is to lawyer up. And stash your notes in a safe location.

The Wonkettes know this about me because I am not ashamed of it and it sometimes comes up so.... I spent two years in a state mental institution in Texas, when I was 15 and 16. (I am 66 but you NEVER forget that kind of thing.) I learned more there than I did when I majored in psychology at UT. One thing I learned about suicide that many do not know... Self abuse does not usually mean the person wants to kill themselves. They are two completely different phenomena... I had friends who cut all over themselves but did not want to die. Suicide is odd. ...and means reduction is absolutely effective. People write whole stories in their heads about their suicide and the method is a large part of that. They can't do what they plan, they just don't commit suicide. Not at that time, at least.

Anyway, my first response was maybe this guy is feeling guilty about the evil of the man he helped elect. See, I would never say anything bad about the man NOW because once someone tries to kill themselves, I assume they feel badly or humiliated about something they have done. I thought maybe he felt badly about helping tRumpy.

...and of course they blamed us. Republicans NEVER take responsibility for ANYTHING.

I saw a video of them arresting or apprehending him if you will. Christ, about 5 to 6 SWAT people with AR-15 like weapons. Dude might be a douche, but that kind of treatment is over the top. Militarization of the police has to stop.

Despite being an heavily armed idiot having a mental breakdown, the militarized trained killers of the SWAT team were able to de-escalate the situation and take him in peacefully. It's the magic of whiteness! Maybe they took him for dinner and drinks afterwards.

Should be ashamed of themselves for what they've done to this man and his family?

I didn't put guns in his house. I didn't expose him to the trump cancer that affects everyone around trump. I didn't frighten his wife badly enough that she went to the authorities.

Do Repubs ever, ever, take responsibility for their own actions? Parscale needs help and he should get it, but don't blame his problems on other people.

This is part of what defunding the police (a horrible choice of wording) is about. The core idea it to take both funding and responsibilities away from the police. Instead of police responding to someone having a mental breakdown, people trained to do that would be called.

Possibly, but he didn't seem to feel badly when he was thriving in the trump environment. It was only when trump (the most disloyal person I've ever heard of) dumped him that Parscale seemed to have problems.

I didn't bother watching Joker, because I couldn't care less about how a cartoon villain had a lousy childhood.
