I certainly am. it's the principle of the owner being a dick about having to pay a fair wage that I object to, not the idea of wait staff making a decent living.

There are other restaurants doing that too. It makes sense, as it doesn't force wait staff to grovel for dollars and it doesn't force the decent customers to dig a little deeper to make up for the the cheapskates that don't tip

If I'm ever near that shithole, I will simply walk in, pick a waiter/waitress at random and tip them without ordering a meal, then tell the owner to go fuck himself.

Yeah -- it's called wage theft.

Skim wages and tips from your employees for even more profit. And you don't even need to worry about getting caught, because who are they gonna believe, a hard-working Job Creator like you or some low-life service employee?

Hint: always tip your server in cash -- it increases the odds that the person will actually get the money.

You: "Waiter, there's a cockroach in my soup!" Waiter: "Shush! Keep it down, or the boss will make me charge you for the extra!"

Wait a sec while I pull out my bistromatics calculator ... Oops, it's broken. Oh gosh, that's right -- it's always broken!

I'd like to help out food workers by patronizing the restaurants where they work, but the truth is that me and the wife haven't gone out to eat in about 6 years because we just don't have that kind of money anymore.

Less money means less business means less money means less business means less money means less business...

We're all Keynesians now.

Eggs were alright. The hamburger wasn't worth it though.

Executive bonuses are already largely subsidized from what they don't pay the rank-and-file employees who do the actual work.

It would be doubly irresponsible to keep this info to yourself once you're finished speculating.

He took a bite out of my burger once. Then he had the nerve to gargle with it and spit the grease across the room.
