Bu, but then the Republican party would be small enough to drown in a bathtub.

According to 2010, Jupiter does become a star. It just needed a little help.

Against human stupidity, the gods themselves contend in vain.

That is great, but it should not have been left to being on YouTube or having a great kid. There should have been commercials all over the TV, with celebrities showing how to fit a mask.

I agree.I also like to brag about my kid, who, did I mention, is wonderful? Loving, careful, brilliant, and kind.

You should brag!

I think I love Rebecca... but sometimes I get this somewhat slightly Libertarian vibe from her. Maybe it's just me.

Perfect summation. In fact, I regret that I have but One (1) Upvote to give you for that.

She was part of the 2000s skeptic movement which had a heavy libertarian bias owing to Penn Jillette being their unofficial spokesperson. But she leans pretty demsoc and seems to rather resent that wing of the skeptic movement in part, at least, because they were really shitty to her.

Did Penn and Teller always have that extremist libertarian streak or did I not notice in the late 80's specifically Penn & Teller Get Killed era?

Kinda reminds me of construction codes -- most every country has world-class construction codes, that do work when applied. But for a variety of reasons, they aren't always applied.

They have been staunch libertarians since the 80s but really only started showing it with their 2000s skeptical show Bullshit. I still like about half of Bullshit but some gets way too into their ideological weeds. It's part of how the skeptic movement got hijacked by libertarian nut jobs. It's all well and good to demystify spiritualists like Randi did but it's quite another when Michael Shermer (Who is also a bag of shit) starts weighing in on fiscal policy under the auspices of 'skepticism.' And now Richard Dawkins is just an insufferable old man who only sticks his head up to tell the kids to get off his lawn.

To what credit may be his due, Penn seems to be a true believer. Like, he actually thinks the ideas are good as opposed to being a shitty grifter. He was open about how abominable a person Donald Trump really was and actually voted for Hillary Clinton. He opposes the death penalty unlike a lot of libertarian scum. He just supports a lot of policies that would render us normal folks into corporate serfs.

I met her a couple of times at a few Cons… at least I think they were Cons… Maybe they were Fern Bars. My memory for places and dates is crap. She seemed nice. I don’t know anything about her geek credentials but I think she’s buds with some old friends of mine that work at Pixar, and they’re VERY Progressive.

He seems the usual epitome of self-centered selfishness. A lot of Sociopaths are true believers.

I was a very early member of the Skeptics Society, and it didn’t seem all that political until Shermer started spitting-up his heartless, soulless, hateful, bullshit Libertarian Sociopathy.

P&T were on “Whose Line Is It Anyway?” and I really got the sense that the regular Improv Folks didn’t like them. But I may have been projecting because I really can’t stand Penn. “Reality - What a Concept.”

She used to host a travelling nerdy/science show called Quiz-O-Tron so seems to have a foot in geek spheres though most of her current work is science communication as opposed to science-doing.
