No fuckhead. the batshit crazy loon will not be testifying on Monday. She won't be testifying on any day. She may be crazy but she ain't stupid. Because she knows if she gets in front of a Senate committee and LIES HER ASS OFF, she knows she will face perjury charges.

I have seen a few things that point to them not actually knowing BK, but signing because a friend asked them to sign this thing. I am too fucking tired to linky that shit.

Thank you for that; I shared the link on FB. Prefaced with how Wonkette has the best and smartest non-comment section on the interwebs!

Definitely. Only a few people there makes it even more premeditated. Also too I just heard on the radio that there's no statute of limitations for sexual assault in Maryland.

No. Wingnut welfare provides them the cushion they need to not have to worry about being voted out of office when they pull this shit.

This is all well and good (at least as far as speculating about Kavanaugh's future on the Supreme Court goes), but he IS going to be on that Supreme Court, no matter how many women it turns out he has sexually assaulted / raped.

Consider: Republicans have ALREADY invested significant amounts of time and political capital just to have this opportunity to put "their guy" (whoever he turned out to be) on the Court. They stubbornly - and outrageously - prevented Merrick Garland from even receiving a hearing. Dems tut-tutted over that (as Dems are wont to do) and - guess what? - Dems will tut-tut all over again when Kavanaugh is elevated to the Court along strict party lines.

Republicans have nothing to fear from a chorus of "tut-tuts" from the Dems. And they (the Repubs) have likely already figured out that any political fallout will be minimal. They ALREADY have a number of women arrayed against them for any number of reasons. Is that number going to change significantly based on the outcome of this nominating process? (I don't think so.)

Republican Senators also DON'T CARE that Kavanaugh has previously lied to the Senate while under oath. They also DON'T CARE that they have willfully suppressed the overwhelming majority of the written record about Kavanaugh.

So, given all of that, I think there is very little chance that they will suddenly have some mass crisis of conscience (if only) and collectively do the right thing here. They see their opportunity to put an ultra-conservative voice on the Court, one that will likely echo for a good 25-30 years (Kavanaugh is 53), and they are willing to take a temporary short-term hit, if that's what it takes.

You mean "papers"? Maybe with a signed "loyalty oath"?

That's just the 'rough' part, amirite?

I almost think the way of more wingnut welfare is worth it. The more wingnut dollars go to paying these people to bloviate to people who already agree with them, the less there are to further their agenda.

I don't think they have the foresight. They want to win today. Anything else is a fourth-quarter problem.

That's a portlybello.

If you want to overturn Roe v Wade, let alone Griswold v Connecticut, that's the way to go.

He's not just a rapist, he's a serial perjurer, too!

It's all jungle. I'd say "orange jungle," but I'm assuming if he lets that shit get as hairy as a yeti, he doesn't bother dying things down there. It's probably as white as the multiple layers of fatty tissue surrounding his small, shriveled heart.
