Petro Poroshenko was Zelenskyy's opponent in 2019, and campaigned on the fact that comedian Zelenskyy would be too weak to stand up to Russia.

I think Poroshenko has admitted he was very wrong about that!

Brian Kilmeade is so clueless that if he goes anywhere near an evidence locker it’s probably some matter/antimatter mutual annihilation deal.

You make some good points, but you keep ignoring the fact that Joe Biden is the devil, sent to take men's precious bodily fluids.

Do you realize that in addition to fluoridating water, why, there are studies underway to fluoridate salt, flour, fruit juices, soup, sugar, milk... ice cream. Ice cream, Wonkette, children's ice cream.

You know when fluoridation first began?

Nineteen hundred and forty-six. 1946, Wonkette. That was almost the same year Joe Biden was born. How does that coincide with your post-war Commie conspiracy, huh? It's incredibly obvious, isn't it? A foreign substance is introduced into our precious bodily fluids without the knowledge of the individual. Certainly without any choice. That's the way your hard-core Commie works.

And you who else likes ice cream?

As long as they keep the chloride out of our salt, we’ll be fine.

Are you old enough to remember the DHMO thing on the internet?

"Dihydrogen monoxide (DHMO, SF Fig. 1.1) is a chemical compound that is commonly used in lab investigations. This chemical compound, sometimes referred to as hydric acid, is colorless and odorless. DHMO is known to be a part of many environmental hazards, toxic substances, diseases, and disease-causing agents. Each year DHMO is listed as a contributing factor in thousands of deaths, and it contributes to millions of dollars of damage to personal property and the environment. However, DHMO continues to be used widely by industry, government, and consumers worldwide. "

People saw this and were like WHAT IS THIS STUFF THAT IS SO DEADLY?

Turns out to be Di-hydrogen monoxide, or H2O (water).

I printed out a full page thing about dihydrogen monoxide and put it in a folder. I walked around my high school trying to get people to sign a petition to ban DHMO for about two weeks. I acted very serious. Nobody took my nerd ass seriously.

Yeah, I remember that.

The question is was Brian Kilmeade legitimately surprised to find out that VP Joe Biden did not overrule Obama foreign policy and the wishes of NATO to fire this asshole to protect his son? Because as dumb as he is even Kilmeade should recognize that makes no sense. He's also been around for all the debunking. My guess is that his surprise was real because he was expecting a different answer, not because he thought the original accusations were true. Perhaps Ukraine pulled a fast one here and told Fox they would go on TV and tell lies about Shokin, and then fucked them over with the truth. If true, hahahahahahahahahaha!

Poroshenko was the guy whom Skokin accused of doing Biden's corrupt bidding by firing him because he, Poroshenko, is also corrupt.

What the fuck -- seriously -- did Kilmeade and/or his producers think Poroshenko would say when they got him on camera? "Yes, I admit it, I was part of this great conspiracy, I'm guilty"? Even if it were true, that's not how these things work.

Have the people at Fox News never heard of pre-interviews? Vetting? Research? How about elementary logic, where things don't make sense on their face?

Honestly, it's not hard to understand how Fox News gets into trouble all the time by doing stupid shit like putting a picture of Tina Fey on air and identifying her as Sarah Palin. They seem incapable of paying attention to the most basic rules of...adult workplace procedure. I'm amazed they manage to tie their ties and find their way to the studio every day.

"Wait, Shokin didn’t get fired by dirty Joe Biden for dirty Biden reasons? Brian Kilmeade heard he was fired for dirty Biden reasons! So he kept asking. And Poroshenko kept saying no.

“Okay, so that is not true,” said Kilmeade. “He didn’t get fired because of Joe Biden.”

You knew THAT, Brian.

The big take away on this whole Ukraine bullshit is that Joe Biden exposed his son to more legal peril by being the point person in getting a corrupt prosecutor removed. Not less peril if Hunter was involved in anything illegal.

In fact, despite even some Republicans who say there is no evidence Joe did anything wrong in any business deals Hunter was involved in, there is no evidence Hunter did anything illegal in his business deals either. Despite even the "reasonable" Republicans saying there was a ton of evidence Hunter was involved in criminal activities. If using your name and connections to get a job on a corporate board, as a consultant, or a lobbyist is illegal a lot of retired or defeated politicians are in trouble too.

After five years of investigation by a Trump appointed prosecutor nothing has gone public on any business corruption other than not paying taxes. Despite having access to all of Hunter and Joe Biden's tax records, Hunter's financial records including Treasury suspicious activity reports, or testimony from past associates of Hunter. So even the statements by these "moderate" Republicans claiming Hunter is guilty of numerous corrupt business deals seems to be bullshit. In fact the prosecutor dropped the tax issue after torpedoing a prior plea deal while piling on gun violations that are almost never charged unless the gun is used in committing another crime.

The prosecutor proves once again that in a choice between party and country a loyal Republican always goes with party. If he had evidence of any other crimes it seems like something on that would have popped up by now since rumors of tax and gun charges have been circulating for years. He has had five years and this seems to be the best he can do. If he is stupid enough to bring this to trial I expect it will end up like the two cases John Durham prosecuted. A jury taking a few hours to rule not guilty. Or at best repeated hung juries leaning to not guilty. Juries can often sense selective prosecution and over charging and don't like it.

You give sage advice not to invite onto live TV actual witnesses that can contradict your wild conspiracy theories. However, having watched these buffoons now for too long, I think many of them are self-susceptible to the gaslighting they afflict on the rest of us. They chug their own Kool-Aid. That’s what makes them good liars; they actually believe their own lies. So, from that very peculiar perspective, it makes prefect sense to invite someone who was a witness to what they’ve already convinced themselves happened. What they actually say is of no import at all if it conflicts with the new truthiness; it just bounces off a wall of cognitive dissonance.

This blunder makes me feel hopeful that some of the stupidity deep within the Fox Noise Channel is not faked, but genuine.

I get the feeling that somebody at Fox looked up the name "Petro Poroshenko" and read only far enough to learn that he was a Ukrainian oligarch and a former appointee of authoritarian thug and Russian stooge Viktor Yanukovych ...

.. but not far enough to learn that Poroshenko later very publicly turned against Yanukovych and supported the Maidan Uprising, which led to the impeachment and exile of Yanukovych and the restoration of Ukraine's constitution.

Somebody didn't do their homework.

Kilmeade ended that interview abruptly. But not, it seems, abruptly enough to prevent Poroshenko from telling his audience the inconvenient truth that Shokin wasn't fired because of OHJ's corruption. This is, of course, not exactly news to those of us on Earth One who watched the testimony during the first tr*mp impeachment hearing, where it was all laid out plain as day. But better late than never, I guess.

So let's get this straight:

1. Biden has been a staunch supporter of Ukraine in its war with Russia. He has said that he intends to stay that course.

2. If the GOP takes power in the White House next year, or even in the Senate and House, they will do all they can to cancel all aid to Ukraine. They have said so over and over. They will say so even more aggressively as the campaign season gets going.

3. To promote this position, they are impeaching Biden, so that they can weaken his chances of reelection.

4. The key testimony in this impeachment will come from ... officials in Ukraine, whose incentive to lie on behalf of the GOP is, shall we say, not altogether robust.

OK then.
