Newt Gingrich, former Speaker of the House, future presidential candidate, and one of the few men in politics (or elsewhere) who lived out the fantasy of Van Halen's " Hot for Teacher ," has opened up the home front in World War 3, the conflict that only Newt (and possibly his Venusian overlords, though who knows, maybe he's freelancing on this one, because he's the kind of maverick who dammit plays by his own rules!) knows that we're fighting.
