Jury Nullification.

Remember the stink over that in the OJ trial? Have you heard any of that talk currently?

White privilege much?

Add to this Trump's upcoming pardon of Arpaio and the message is clear: there's one law for coloreds and... well really, that's it.

Momocultists on the jury again. The defense knew the fix was in.

LE should be very wary about this trend.

When a young black boy points a toy gun at officers, the verdict and punishment are delivered swiftly. When white rednecks point real guns at officers, with attendant statements that they will die defending their sad sack pal, they don't even get a slap on the wrist. Can't imagine why that pisses me off so much.

That might be standard procedure, but these nuts and the stuff they represent are anything but. They're true believers: they think what they did was right, they'll never cop a plea. If the USA's office didn't know that, they're idiots.

Celebrity trial jury: to get an "unbiased" jury pool, you have to get a jury that knows as little as possible about the case. If *everybody* knows about it, then the only people who don't know are completely uninformed people who live under rocks. It may astonish you to learn that these people tend to be rather odd, as well as dim.

Prosecutors don't have an easy job. I dated one for a couple of months. She would put in weeks of work on a case, only to have it all fall apart because some witness changed her story on the stand, or some goofball juror held out for an acquittal despite overwhelming evidence of guilt.

How could pointing a gun at someone not be a threat "coupled with an apparent ability to inflict injury on another"?

What the fuck are the prosecutors doing in these cases. Are they sleeping during jury selection? Did they skip the part in their law school classes where the prosecution is supposed to present evidence showing the actual crime the defendants are accused of? That jury nullification is not really a thing? Have they forgotten that these Bundyites are not cops and therefore do not get a free pass on pointing guns or shooting at people? Or are their sympathies actually with Bundy and his gang? Because there is too much of this not guilty crap going on, meanwhile a lady is convicted of laughing at a politician saying Sessions is not racist.

I'd buy one.

My understanding is that a lot of car bodies look alike because they need to follow certain design principles to minimize air interference.
