His pledge to enact green screen reform is tempting, to be sure... Richard Painter, the former Bush administration lawyer who's become a gravel-voiced fixture on cable TV thanks to his frequent criticism of Donald Trump's complete indifference to not just ethics but the rule of law (except when it helps enrich Donald Trump), has decided to finally leave the Republican party and
So any day the current senator will show that by refusing to take PAC money like Painter has? That kind of progressive? Let me know when it happens right here. The people of her state must be protesting at her home office right now I imagine.
someone's gotta be able to keep up with all this energy reliability talk. ERCOT has an app and Santa Claus is checkin' it twice! also too: ERCOT does not control the wind...yet! and the tickets to this hearing were WAY TO CHEAP.
oh, and did I mention that I wore high heeled boots in the field yesterday? it is possible that I'm not a fucking amateur. I can also drink while phone banking.
Even if they're not doing this just to win elections, aren't you worried about all these people changing the DNC platform to the RNC one? Cant the DNC tell these guys they can't use their name?
I really don't want you Americans to end up stuck between Bush Republicans and Donny the Tramp Reichpublicans.
Though I suppose, considering that TrumpDump became prez without ever having served the public in any capacity at all, it wouldn't seem impossible to the guy.
I know. and they also suggested that if the whole party is WAY MORE LEFTY, we will get a whole lot more done. I was like, "if the left gets more extreme and the right gets more extreme, nothing gets done." then they accused me of wanting everyone to be milquetoast. and I was like, "what's wrong with having a spectrum of beliefs represented?"
Plenty of Repug representatives he could challenge. Then knock off a Repug senator later. And try to sound like more than a mere common scold (ah-choo!).
Consider that the blue wall of the upper Midwest no longer exists. Minnesota was less than 45,000 votes from going red while 4 years before that number, like the rest of the Midwest, was, 220,000. And that number was only that high because Mitt "I wouldn't bail out the auto industry" was running. Minnesota is a state that may go Iowa, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin way in 2020 or 2024. If that happens, what kind of Democrat is best positioned to hold that seat in 6 years?
The guy is a reasonable candidate. He's also a professor of Law at U of Minnesota, BTW.
But his whole shtick is that he will not be beholden to outside money, special interests, etc. He is preaching (correctly) that those should not be controlling governments or parties. So in theory, he should run as an independent centrist candidate. Realistically that would probably siphon votes from Smith. So it's probably better he just lose in the primary while sending a message to the GOP that they've gone off the reservation.
Maybe he's sitting in front of a painting at the CREW office.

not sure they've entirely thought this one out, but they are EARNEST in their belief that "even more far left" is the answer.
