Also of note: this summer was pretty harsh for my rooftop-solar neighbors. Seems efficiency goes way down when you can't see the sun through all the ash and smoke swirling around from forest fires.

Are you familiar with her union busting?

Ok. So why do you think she stepped down from chairing that committee??? I heard she was strongly encouraged to back off because of her inability to remember stuff. What did you hear?

Of course she's a Democrat. It's Cali, Cally. 😜

Just as there are plenty of other places where you need an (R) next to your name to have a chance in the general -- even if you are (relatively!) liberal Republican -- there are definitely places where you need a (D), even if you're a corporate shill.

I'm surprised they're still a thing after the chromium poisonings, of Erin Brockovich fame. And then, after the San Bruno pipeline explosion. And then after the wildfires their equipment ignited. And then the Public Safety Power Shut-offs they started doing, to prevent wildfires.

Very Manchinesque. We don't need a Dem doing this to people. The downside of the "big tent".

I suppose some state senators or state reps have to get together and fight a huge campaign for twenty years. Against mammoth forces that you can't budge. Or, actually there's the Public Utilities Commission. They have hearings all the time. I wonder what happens there in connection with such a bad company.

Just re-watched _Erin Brockovich_. PG&E can GTFO.

Well the Public Utilities Commission. seems to despise them-- I was just skimming some reports. And PG&E's responses were ingratiating as heck. They were just so glad to be alive and bankrupt. Soon they'll be so honored to pay fire victims what they owe them!! From what year I don't know. They can't pay, tho, till they're out of bankruptcy. (Weird arrangement.)
