I suppose Bloomberg views himself as a hero to the country, not heroic enough to contribute a few percentage points more in increased taxes on his personal wealth, though.

Fine. He can go build libraries.

Odd, because the ones I’ve encountered would never vote Democrat. They see the party as telling them how to run their small businesses and taking their money to support welfare bums. They put up with Trump but would rather see another Reagan or GWB.

On "Morning Joe" the other day, Mika Brzezinski fretted over Biden's struggles. If he doesn't win, that leaves a "void" in the Democratic Party.

Mika Brzezinski is a "void" all by herself. FFS. I don't even know why I watch that show.

My husband blew me away the other day. He was ALL IN for Bernie last time around. This time, I figured he be a Berner again - or be campaigning for Warren. When he told me he was rooting for OHJB, I damned near did a spit take.

And then it hit me. At 63, he is literally "an older Black voter."

OMG! When did my husband get to be an "older voter" guy??! Ack!

To me, wealth accumulation shares two important similarities to pick-your-favorite-addiction: tolerance and withdrawal. Pretty soon, that same ol’ pile of goodies just doesn’t hit it anymore.

I asked my late psychiatrist-father what’s up with hoarding. Without hesitation, he answered “serotonin deficiency.” Of course, this assumes that the catecholamine hypothesis is true—that many psychiatric conditions are caused by imbalances in neurotransmitter levels.

On the other hand, a simple serotonin-specific reuptake inhibitor (read: antidepressant) could alleviate symptoms long enough for psychotherapy to start working.

Kamala would have been my second choice if she would either apologise for, or sensibly defend, her record as California A-G, inc. depriving trans prisoners of medical care. Given that, she's still second equal with Bernie and Mayor Pete. I look forward to her tearing Trumpy a new one in his impeachment trial.

A meritocracy is a system where people get ahead based on their abilities rather than their wealth or power, is it not?
