Just got back from my local Giant Food. Bless their hearts, the set aside the hours of 6 to 7 am for senior like my wife and I to shop relatively free from crowds. As nice as it was, it was also a little scary. The shelves were pretty empty. It reminded me of those pictures of empty shops in the old USSR. Other than a couple, (and by couple U mean in less than a dozen), packages of various meats, (no hamburger at all), just empty shelves. I guess I am going to find out what that pile of frost is covering in the back of my freezer.
To their credit, they did have TP and many cases of water, even sanitizer wipes at one to a customer, so there's that. But cereals, frozen food, can goods, chips and pasta were in short supply.
