So why wasn't this guy deported back to Canada at the time he was convicted, or immediately after he served his sentence?

Because I have empathy, I can imagine the pain and fear this man must have felt before dying--just as I can also imagine the unbearable suffering of those other "immigrants" he thought Trump should deport. That's the thing about empathy: you imagine the experience and feelings of others.

This guy's death shows how an abject failure to do so can be fatal...and not to those others, but to YOU.

FA: “He cheered for Donald Trump because he thought it would be other people getting hauled away to these detention centers and not him.”

FO: “Clearly, he was wrong.”

You’re so mean (in a great way) Robyn.

That’s a shame. Sorry, but my sympathy and humanity reserves have become too severely depleted to waste any on a MAGAt, even if they’re a citizen of a civilized country.

Ta, Robyn. No matter how godawful an excuse for a human Noviello may have been, no one deserves to die in custody, just as no one in custody should be raped. Ever.

*Sure, and I think Santa is real as well*

The single biggest regret of my dating life is one ex now works for ICE. It's okay, I guess, because he literally said "it pays the mortgage" and my much younger coworker said back, "that's what the Nazis said". I've also done some sidewalk art in chalk outside his house a few times, like "no babies in cages" and the like.

“ICE remains committed to ensuring that all those in its custody reside in safe, secure, and humane environments,” a spokesperson for the agency said in a not-entirely-believable statement.

It isn't just not-entirely-believable, it's pretty UNbelievable. One time, I went to court a day late and ended up having to turn myself in to the county jail(depression can be like that) and they made me take off jelly bracelets! Also, I've been in psych wards, and have had some awful experiences as a patient, so I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm pretty skeptical of these ICE mfrs.

Please, y'all, stay safe and know your rights! ☮️🌌

"He is the eighth person to die in ICE custody so far this year."

Were there that many who had offer to turn state's evidence and testify about the proven rapist Trump and his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein?
