It's the American Library Association's Banned Books Week again, that time of year when we celebrate literacy's fight against the censorious prigs who make it their business to make sure that children and even adults are protected from BAD BOOKS.
Since a certain group is into banning certain books because they are some how offended, can I request that The Learning Channel (i.e., a true oxymoron) please create a TV series explaining the perils of home schooling starring Honey Boo Boo? I would join a carnival as the elephant crap cleaner rather than live within 100 miles of that onclave.
If you look at previous years&#039; lists, <i>Brave New World</i> is included. Ricky probably objected to the mention of sex and (shock, horror) contraception.
