We honestly have no idea why, except maybe it had something to do with her not being a complete stiff or a nebulous cipher. Exactly. I mean, Carly winning anything is really shocking. Remember, this is the person who took one of the strongest, most respected tech firms with a deep tradition of loyalty nurtured by the loyalty and respect given to its own employees, and turned it into the Hewlett-Packard we see today.
This is a person who could burn water. Actually outperforming the other six circus monkeys gathered on that stage is surprising, and speaks to the incredible poverty of the Republican corps of candidates.
Sorry Carly. Every time we elect somebody from California to be president it goes off the rails. Not saying it would be the biggest disaster for American since forever, but there will be another black president before the voters of the country have confidence in somebody from California.

Sanctions are punishments that make indignant people feel good. They change nothing. Look how well they have worked for N Korea and Cuba. It just gives the leaders more propoganda to hate America.
