Exactly. I mean, Carly winning anything is really shocking. Remember, this is the person who took one of the strongest, most respected tech firms with a deep tradition of loyalty nurtured by the loyalty and respect given to its own employees, and turned it into the Hewlett-Packard we see today.

This is a person who could burn water. Actually outperforming the other six circus monkeys gathered on that stage is surprising, and speaks to the incredible poverty of the Republican corps of candidates.

Sorry Carly. Every time we elect somebody from California to be president it goes off the rails. Not saying it would be the biggest disaster for American since forever, but there will be another black president before the voters of the country have confidence in somebody from California.

My guess is Ailes wants Carly groomed for the VP spot. Maybe for Jeb or Scott. FOX jumped pretty quick onto her bandwagon. Chris and Ezra are doing what they typically do; talk about what other bloggers talk about. I don't know about Mark. I stopped watching CNN fifteen years ago and the headaches went away.

Sanctions are punishments that make indignant people feel good. They change nothing. Look how well they have worked for N Korea and Cuba. It just gives the leaders more propoganda to hate America.

South African divestment movements are credited with being useful. But of course those were pushed from the bottom up rather than the top-down Iran, North Korea, and Cuba sanctions.

As David Eddings once astutely noted, when you try to starve a people into submission, generally it is not those in power who do the suffering.
