There should've been a concerted effort to correct each and every scumbucket who has said "Democrat" party, but many of the non-conservative reporters are just fucking wusses.
Of course part of the problem is that while the people in the Democratic Party ARE Democrats, with Republicans - the word is both an adjective and a noun, so you can't do the same thing with their name.
But if the various congressional districts in KY are gerrymandered for the Repubs, and they all support him and gush about him, it can influence people.
