It is easy to forget sometimes that D.C. area event planner Politico actually won a Pulitzer Prize in 2012. Not for their morning-winning, afternoon-winning news coverage, mind you, (lol, u guys.) but for their editorial cartoons, drawn by this guy Matt Wuerker.
In amongst all the lameness, I'll put in a vote for the literalized "Arab Street" being a street in apparently Brooklyn full of kids playing American video games. That's doing metaphorisms right.
Also the line "My God! Not the Ottoman!" gets points for making a classic c.1919 pun that will not have the slightest resonance for today's readers. I mean, who has an ottoman in their house any more?
